Best Steak, but Too Expensive. Best steak I have ever had. Service is great as well as the space. The only problem is the price. I could make a steak just as great at home, at a much cheaper.

Best Steak Ever. The food and service was great, though the host and wait was not very pleasant even though I had a reservation.

For those that don't know, they undercooked their steaks because they serve them on a sizzling iron platter. That way, your steak stays warm and doesn't get overcooked. I like my steaks rare, so having it a little undercooked doesn't matter. I've had people tell me that they had steaks that melted in the mouth before, but I didn't believe it until I had a rare filet mignon at Ruth's Chris. The sides weren't bad, but a little too rich in terms of getting you fat. I left room for the dessert and it was so worth it. If the place wasn't so darn expensive (over $100 for 2), I would go back again and again until I tried all the desserts. The prices are reminiscent of Las Vegas prices (e.g., ~$40 for a filet mignon), but the food is so much better. If you sign up for their newsletter or keep an eye out for specials deals, you can get a nice 3 course meal for a fairly good deal.

The major down side is that they have a strict dress code. Even in the blistering heat of the valley, you still can't wear shorts.

Great Steaks. I took my mom here on Mother's Day. I thought what better way to treat my mom on Mother's Day then to splurge on her meal. I had reservations and arrived on time but when we got there we still had to wait. I mean what is the point of a reservation if you still have to wait over 20 minutes for a table?

When we finally got seated we were treated great by our waiter. We ordered petite filets and honestly mine was the best steak I ever had! My mom loved her's too. All in all it was a good Mother's Day dinner.

Best Steak Ever. The wait can't really be a con. It was Valentine's day. To be expected. We did have a reservation though. We showed about 10 minutes early and were told there was still about a half hour wait. But their lounge area to wait in was very nice. That said, Hands down the best steak I've ever had. I ordered the cowboy rib-eye on the waitress' recommendation. I was not disappointed. I had the crabcake add-on and again was not disappointed. They didn't overfill the restaurant like some places do on Valentine's. Very well-informed staff. Well worth the heavy dollar.

Sophisticated American chain serves up corn-fed USDA prime cuts and New Orleans-style appetizers and sides.. In Short
This offshoot of a popular New Orleans hangout for politicians features decor of dark woods and comfortable booths, with a separate bar scene. Choice cuts of custom-aged beef arrive in sizzling butter on 500-degree plates. The menu also offers chicken, pork and seafood entrees along with Creole appetizers like shrimp remoulade. Family-style sides include gargantuan onion rings, creamed spinach and various styles of potatoes. Traditional homemade desserts like cheesecake and bread pudding conclude the meal.

great meal. worth every penny!. My boyfriend and I just celebrated our anniversary at Ruth's Chris in Woodland Hills. I made the reservation online through their website and indicated that we were celebrating our anniversary. We got there about 15 minutes early and checked in. We waited for about 20 minutes (considering we were early, so we really only waited 5 minutes). They were turning away patrons because there were so many reservations. So note to self people! MAKE RESERVATIONS!!

We were greeted by our bus boy who had his tray of water selections, "would you like sparkling, mineral or tap?" That was about the last time we saw him. He never did come back to fill up our "tap" water.

We were then graciously greeted by our waiter Jorge who was great. I ordered the rib eye (medium rare - which totally excited Jorge. I'm sure he gets a little miffed when people order their steaks more than medium) and my BF ordered the NY strip. Jorge suggested we order 2 sides: garlic mashed potatoes and the asparagus with hollandaise. All of the sides looked good but we kept it simple. The table next to us ordered the creamed spinach which also looked really good.

Our steaks arrived sizzling in butter to the table on a plate which Jorge said was about 500 degrees. He wasn't kidding! Let's just say that these steaks were like butter! I've been to BOA in Las Vegas and I thought that steak was yummy...this was even better! (I do love the roasted garlic BOA gives you though).

Jorge then gave us the dessert menu and acknowledged that we were celebrating our anniversary and that our dessert would be complimentary. We ordered the warm apple tart and it was served with a candle (kind of cheesy but liked the gesture).

All in all, the night was perfect, the food was great and the service was impeccable! I highly recommend Ruth's Chris. It was well worth the $200 spent!

One of the best meals of my life.. I've seen some complaints about the service so I should say upfront that I picked up my order and ate it at home. I got a $50 gift card here as a gift for signing up for a new credit card. My order was a NY steak, baked potato with butter and sour cream, and banana cream pie.

The steak was huge (I could only eat half). I ordered it medium and it was perfect. So juicy and flavorful. Moist. The potato was amazing too. I didn't know these things could vary in taste, but this was the best one I've ever had. The dessert was a good choice because it was the perfect flavor balance for the rest of my meal. I sat down, ate about half of the food, and didn't say a word. I don't think I looked up once...I may have not even breathed. I just chowed down and loved every second of it.

The only thing I would change (and this is a stretch) is that I wouldn't have had the bananas caramelized in my pie. I don't like creme brulee for the same reason. I think the pastry, custard, and bananas is sweet enough. Anyway, everything else was amazing. Truly one of the best meals ever.

Petit Filet. Great Petit filet. The service was very nice, and the atmosphere was very nice also. The proterhouse could have been shared with three people instead of two, and it's good my friends decided to do it that way.
