Great instructors that actually didn't make me want to look at the clock once throughout the entire class! My sore abs were a nice added bonus!

best yoga in the valley. I loooove this studio. So much better than the snooty trendy places like yoga works or West side places Best teachers are Micha, Hanah, Margaret, Peter (also owner)

If you are a beginner then try Micha's class. She is patient and helps to correct you. She also does an awesome class on Sundays for people with office jobs like me , who suffer from back problems. For intermediate to strong try Hanah, super cool chick who also loves explaining all things moon related and offers some take-away wisdom each class without being too" hippie dippie heavy"

I love that they have so many classes, there's always ample parking available!

This a GREAT studio, with beautiful peaceful rooms, and offers classes as low as $10 per class if you buy a series of 25. I cannot recommend this place enough!

FUN! YES Yoga can Be FUN!. I took a class at the recommendation of a buddy at another studio. The instructor in the community class was hilarious, there was such interaction with the students, I generally like mirrors and music, but it wasn't even missed! Oh did I mention the work out was fantastic and the spiritual message made me cry!

Bravo Black Dog!

Love that this studio offers inexpensive classes in "these times" (what other times would they be?) Namaste:)

Majorly Missing Black Dog. When I lived in the area, I use to go to Black Dog twice a week. I still yearn for this unique yoga studio. Now living in the city, amongst all the generic studios, I realize that you don't know you have a great thing until it's gone. And I am really missing it now. I loved taking classes here. Even when the classes are full, the intimacy of the space is never sacrificed. This is rare. Everyone is so warm and friendly and ENCOURAGING!! The teachers are all great, my favorites being Heidi and Peter. Challenging classes with guided instruction and teachers who actually look at your form and what you are doing, but allow you to work at your own place while gently motivating you to "go deeper into the stretch". Well done!

Great Surprise. I was a long time student at Yoga Works in Santa Monica and when I moved to the Valley thought that nothing could beat its teachers or atmosphere. Then someone referred me to Black Dog. It's great! It's in a strip mall next to an In n Out - what a surprise. Beautiful floors and light, and great teachers. I've tried several and there haven't been any surprises or weird personalities. The only downside is that one studio is upstairs, near the lobby area, and the second is downstairs, so to get to that one you need to check in upstairs, walk along a balcony, then down stairs, and wait on the sidewalk in the parking lot for the door to open. It sounds worse than it is. All in all, I highly recommend it.

Everyones talking.... I was referred to this studio about 5 times before I finally took a class. Now I am addicted! My usual teacher went out of town for 6 weeks over christmas and we had fill in teachers the whole time. At first i was concerened about classes, however each substitute teacher was better than the last. Each had a different style and easily fell into the flow of the class regardless of level. Always friendly and unpretencious classes, love the saturday Chi yoga when I can get out of work.
