great sushi, great place, decent prices, good sashimi, good service, creative rolls, not very good food
Great Japanese even for non-sushi eaters. Stumbled onto this restaurant last evening (it's nearly hidden and lost in the very overwhelming shopping center that houses Bally's and Best Buy). Don't eat sushi, but figured we'd give it a try. Ordered take-out (Dumplings, Shrimp Tempura and Teryaki Chicken Bowl). Wanted to try their bbq pork, but they didn't have it. Was very pleased with the quality of the food: the chicken bowl was especially tasty, white meat chicken with no "what part of a chicken is THAT?" surprises. Prices very reasonable, diningroom very clean. Will definitely return.
i love this place. always get the philidelphia roll.....awesome, and the house special roll is huge...love the miso soup too....It's not the hump, but it's about a tenth of the price so it's a good deal.
Oh Mama! Yokohama!. You won't be disappointed. The sushi and sashimi cuts are not the best, but then again you're not paying premium prices for the fish. It is good affordable seafood though when you don't feel like paying big bucks to feed your sushi craving. They offer all the great Nigiri sushi and countless varieties of sushi rolls, as well as the American favorites like teriyaki and tempura. Plenty of good beer, sake, and soft drinks to. Good service, color T.V., and have a polaroid of your party taken and posted on the wall. FUN.
Wonderful Sushi, Wonderful Price!. I found out about this place from a former co-worker. She brought in the Yokohama menu with all its very colorful pictures and I just had to try it. It was great. We were greeted upon entering, the servers are very nice and always smiling and the sushi is damn good and not expensive. The atmosphere, to me, was intimate as Yokohama is hidden so to speak. Anyone who loves sushi or even likes it should definitely give this place a try.
Great Little Joint in Palms. Good Cheap Sushi for the Westside. I've been looking for a convienent place for quick sushi. Not impressed by the fish on Sawtelle (Hide, etc..) Lots of variety here for roll lovers and cozy. I was surprised by the freshness. Comparable to the "Kabuki" chain of restaurants, but more tasty.
heavy d sushi. great sushi, affordable, with pictures, friendly atmosphere tucked away in the culver center.
