Thorough, Smart, Comforting

I had my first appointment with Dr.Elman today and I was very pleased with the eye exam. He took his time diagnosing what was wrong with my eyes and took the time to explain what was wrong and why. He made me feel comfortable and at ease. You can tell he really cares about his patients. I would recommend him 100% to anyone looking for an optometrist.

Great Optometrist in Santa Monica!

I recently visited Dr. John Elman at his 7th street office in Santa Monica for an eye exam and contact lens fitting. After 12 years of wearing contacts and glasses, I can say with confidence that Dr. Elman is the best out there.

His experience and professionalism were apparent from the get go. I had no trouble getting an appointment quickly, and Dr. Elman was right one time, not a lot of waiting around like at the bigger chains.

What sets Dr. Elman heads above the other guys, is his attention to detail. The eye exam was incredibly thorough and I could tell that he really cared about my vision and comfort, not just about making a sale. He took the time to make sure that my prescription was correct, and tried a few different contacts before we settled.

My vision is the best it has ever been, even at night, and the contacts he set me up with are the most comfortable I've had. I would unhesitatingly recommend Dr. John Elman to anyone who is thinking of getting an eye exam, contact lenses, or glasses.

Real personal care

I met Dr Elman for the first time today and I was very satisfied with the professionalism and care that he provided. He took the time to walk me through all my options and answered all my questions. Very good service and visits can be scheduled on Saturdays which is very convenient.

• Pros: Thorough and professional. Open on Saturdays.
• Cons: Can be a little slow.
