The Scene – No Burke Williams bustle here--this sleek day spa is geared toward a tranquil and private experience. Enter the sunlit boutique and veer right to the spa's reception area, where attendants bearing plush robes lead spa-goers to a small locker area stocked with iced washcloths, fancy soaps and lotions. There's no communal whirlpool or sauna, just a private shower with a built-in steam bath. – – The Services – A full menu of luxurious treatments includes facials, hydrotherapy baths, massage, body scrubs and wraps, nail care and waxing. ambiance
100.0% positive
  1. must say I wasn't as pressured to buy products as I thought I might be, And parking was not too bad $ considering.
  2. The treatments at Kinara are very nice (particularly the massage, and salt scrub) as was the decor; however, service was somewhat disorganized.
  3. On top of that, they have a great zen atmosphere.
  4. Great cafe, ambience, staff, treatments, products, retail boutique!
  5. Call me finicky, but the over-thetop zen decor seems a bit contrived in the middle of West Hollywood two doors down from The Abbey--- maybe a fireplace, some warm decor, and softer lines.

  1. Also, the pedicure I had was so basic that compared to the places I normally go to was not even as good for 1/3 of the same price.
  2. left with my skin glowing after the Red Carpet facial, my new skin care regiment and renewed enthusiasm about the true value of a great facial.
  3. Everyone was very shocked with the high prices because we were told it was less expensive beforehand, especially just for the basic one on top of that.

  1. Facial was 50 minutes, packed with action.: Great massage, peel, sonic peel, thorough extractions, agreeable products that were carefully placed on my skin.

BEST massage by far!

by Lanns

I have been getting massages for about 20 years, in all honesty, my massage yesterday was one of the best! I was booked with Brenda and you can tell that she really loves her job. Her technique was amazing!! Normally you know what the masseuse is going to do next and a massage can become very predictable. Brenda's massage truly optimized the 50 minutes we had and I didn't feel rushed or cheated. I will be going back!! It is worth the added expense!

  • Pros: Personal service; Product knowledge; Unbelievable massage.
  • Cons: Small steam and changing area

Rude Management and very high prices!

by Michelle17230

Our group of girls went there for a bachelorette party. It turned out to be a very awful experience for us from start to finish. One of my close friends organized the event for the girls and when she called to make an apointment she told them that we had about 10 girls and some of them (we werent sure how many of them) would be getting a mani/pedi that day. The lady working there told her that the manicure was $20 an the pedicure was $30 . When we arrrived we asked for a packet with all the prices and treatments. Turns out the pedicure for just a basic pedicure was $50! The manicure for the basic manicure was $40. Everyone was very shocked with the high prices because we were told it was less expensive beforehand, especially just for the basic one on top of that. So anyway some of the other girls decided not to go along with it because they couldnt afford that. My friend and I decided just to get the pedicure then. Turns out when we were paying the manager was very rude and told my friend that because she booked an apointment that $65 would be charged to everyone there or on my friends card. My friend told her that you never said that on the phone and the prices were a lot higher than we had expected. Turns out the manager there wasnt going to budge at all and we had to go tell the rest of the girls that they had to or their card would be charged. I was soooo shocked!! I never never had such a bad experience at a spa before in my life! Also, the pedicure I had was so basic that compared to the places I normally go to was not even as good for 1/3 of the same price. It was very ridicoulious! I just thought I would warn people here of our experience at this place before they decide to go.

  • Pros: Nothing
  • Cons: High price, rude manager
