Cant get better than this. This place is as good as it gets, you cant get anything better in the indian market than this . LOVE IT!
Great Indian Food! Yummy traditional dishes with a nice TWIST!. The food is exceptionally great! The Chicken Tikka and Garlic Shrimp are awesome as well as the onion Kulcha. Prices are fair b/c they do provide value and quality. They also have a nice all you can eat buffet. The place was packed from the moment we sat down until we left. The service (taking the initial order) took some time due to their business, but overall all our needs were attended to very well. I will definitely go back to try more on the menu, as well as the all you can eat buffet. A+ quality food.
Best indian food in LA, Too EXPENSIVe, Avoid weekends and the lunch buffet.
Good:
Food is great. I do not think you will find better indian food in LA. Try the Lamb Malai. Very very good.
Service is good: a typical indian restaurant - you know what i mean.
Bad:
Not enough space. I never feel cozy when I go there. Hard to find parking.
Ugly:
Food is too expensive. Wayyyy too expensive. When I go there with my girlfriend, it costs me about $50.00.
Conclusion
If you want to eat very very good indian food, try this place out. Lunch buffet is okay.
Greedy Owner, wants more people for buffet and tried to get rid of us.
I did a booking for my wedding party for 18 people, first 5 people showed up, then more people came in to the restaurant for the buffet, then he was making anooying comment if front of all the guest and made all of us uncomfortable. He said "How long we should wait for all?? I have lots of customers!!"
I have been there like 8 times before, looks like the owner just shot himselft on the foot, after all just another indian food and new Indian restaurant are coming up.
Could possibly be the best I've ever had.... I typically stick to my "litmus test" of dishes when I try out a new Indian joint, and this did not disappoint by any means! We had the Chicken Tikka, Chicken Tikka Masala, Palaak Paneer, and Garlic Naan. All of which were just perfect. That's all I can say! And the owner obviously takes great pride in his place...when my husband picked up our last to-go order, he told the owner that his restaurant serves quite possibly the best Indian food we've ever had. To which he responded "I know". Go now!!
speechless. wow.. what can i say about this amazing restaurant. You have to go there to actually understand what i am talking about. When i went there i was amazed at seeing the hospitality of the workers and there fast service. Their food has the quality that we all look for in foods. warm, fresh, and delicious. And it is very affordable. and they have alot of items to choose from.. if i could write more i could just go on and on and i would never end about all the wonderful things about this restaurant
Wonder authentic indian food. Whenever I crave indian, I go to this restaurant. As another reviewer stated, they are always consistent. The food is just so flavoraful and delicious. They have a great menu selection to choose from. I've tried a lot of different dishes and especially love the masala and vindaloos in both lamb and chicken. I take visiting friends here and they love it! The garlic naan is freshly baked and just a perfect compliment with the different sauces. One thing is that the wait can be long, even on nights you'd think they'd be quiet and even late in the evening.
very disappointed. went here for the 8.95 lunch buffet and was very disappointed in both the selection and quality of the food...the palak paneer didn't have any paneer, the vegetable korma consisted of mostly mushrooms, the fish pakoras tasted like some kind of frozen fish fillet that was heavy with batter, the galub jamun was cold and was not saturated in syrup as i would have liked (it tasted more like a dried donut hole, rather than a milk ball), in general most of the food was not really warm enough for me and did not taste good....definitely would not recommend the lunch buffet.
Outstanding Indian Food. After 15 years of dining at India restaurant it's definitely one of our all time favorites. High Quality and the finest ingredients.
Worth a 30 mile drive. I was on a project in Pasadena for the past 6 months -- a coworker (from Cerritos) recommended this restaurant. This is, without a doubt, one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever eaten at. The quality of food was outstanding (the lamb curry was incredibly lean which is a rarity) and the consistency of dishes remarkable. I *regularly* drove the 30+ miles to go to this restaurant.
