Not The Same Anymore!!!

It was good when they serve their usual vegetarian dishes. Now under new management, the original chef is not there anymore. They offer meat dishes now (which is good for me) but the samosas and chana masala's got to go. The curry is dry and bright yellow instead of thick brown where you can pour it on rice or eat it with naan. Speaking of naan, it tasted like it was made straight out of a toaster oven (thin, burnt and crispy instead of warm and fluffy). A lack of cooking technique, not many spices and flavor and it wasn't as clean and professional like it used to be.

The weekend buffet is highly recommended. The lamb kebabs skewers are a must. Good food and great service.

Chameli is back - now serving meat!

After having been closed for a few years for a supposed renovation, Chameli is open once again--looking exactly the same, but now serving meat dishes too. The place was pretty empty when we went, but that's probably because nobody knew it was open. The food was pretty good: giant samosas, delicious palak paneer, tasty chicken curry. They brought us plenty of basmati rice for the 5 of us. The 2 lamb dishes were mixed, though. It's good lamb when it's skewered, questionably gamey on occasion in the curry. The garlic naan was just slivers of garlic stuck to naan--not what we expected, and not that good. Still, I'd recommend it.
