The Scene – Compared to Hollywood hot spots like Ivar and White Lotus, Larchmont is more bland than grand in design, yet still manages to find a niche in the prodigious L.A. nightlife scene. Last known as rock dive Martini Lounge, the club benefitted from a thoroughly modern makeover. A velvet rope separates the VIP lounge from the multileveled dance floor in the main room. You can order sushi from here or from the sushi bar in the back corner. DJs spin hip-hop and house as gyrating go-go dancers do their thing. Spotlights shine from all corners, including the square-shaped bar. Two…

Best Drum & Bass in LA

by mobounce

Great vibes, 21+ with fly honeys everywhere! Drinks are so/so, average price, $5 for a Heine, $7 for Jack & Coke. Club is small & kinda dirty, but who cares when you're having a drunk time?? The upstairs patio is a great chill spot and quiet enough to meet & socialize. I go on Thursdays for Respect, LA's longest running Drum & Bass. By far the best thing about this club is the great vibe everyone has! An LA staple.

PS. Parking is on the street in the hood and may take 20 mins of searching for a spot 1/2 mile away. Still worth it inside on a Thursday!

  • Pros: World class Drum & Bass DJs
  • Cons: Just small & kinda dirty, but the girls & music outweigh that easy.

nice neighborhood club

by margie2265

it's small enough where you don't feel lost in the crowd, but big enough where they can still get decent d.j.s in there. nice patio area on the roof where you can chill out and talk. drinks are just standard, nothing outstanding. fun place to go and dance when you're not out to try to make a spectacle of yourself.

Rudest club in Hollywood

by vinzla2000

This establishment is probably staffed by the rudest people you can ever meet. Especially on Sunday nights. Spend your time and money elsewhere!!! I use to love it when it was the Martini Lounge, but it has really fallen by the wayside in terms of organizing and communication. Stay home and watch a DVD..

  • Pros: Patio
  • Cons: Staff has attitude

Although I miss Martini Lounge

by emmasia

It's still a nice mellow place to go. The interior has gotten more "trendy", but the upstairs patio is beautiful. The bartender that works upstairs is also great. Saturday nights are the best with WAX and Indigo alternating. Thursday's Respect is still ongoing and great for all the D&B heads.

  • Pros: Never crowded, Beautiful Patio
  • Cons: Got trendy, Small crowds

Random changing cover

by harringtons

Watch out for the switcheroo! Called 15 minutes prior to arriving about cover and was told "$10.00 b4 11 & $15.00 after. When we arrived, a group of 8, it was $20.00 (tho the place was totally empty). We explained had we just called. She asked who did you call, us-the Larchmont. We asked - how we could we know the cover if calling is incorrect. She said "Well you would had to call me". We paid and it would have been lame for $1. Skip it!
