Great chocolate cake! I am a chocolate lover cake and let me tell you guys hansens has the best moist chocolate cake ive ever had. I was on my way to the grove and I seen hansens was literally on fairfax ave. so I droped by to see whats this famous cake place about =). So I walked in and the sales staff came to me with a whole tray of samples....."oh boy was I in heaven" all the samples were delicious literally to die for!!!!!!!! I tried every sample I could put my hands on. They were all good, but chocolate was my top favorite. I literally went to the bakery side where they have premade cakes and cupcakes and I bought some to take home. My family loved there cakes and there cupcakes. YOU MUST STOP BY TO HANSEN AND CHECK THEM OUT!!!! 10 stars for them.

Horrible Customer Service. With all the high reviews, I was so very disappointed with the customer service we received. We visited this location on a Thursday around 2 p.m. We walk in the door and no one even acknowledges us. We look at the pictures of cakes in a notebook that they had and after about 10 minutes the saleswoman FINALLY looks at us and asks if we need any help. I answer yes and she walks around the counter and goes to talk to her boss for almost 10 minutes! I was appalled and thought to myself, "You just asked me if I needed help!"

As if that wasn't bad enough, her supervisor was worse! She didn't acknowledge us either and made us wait to view some baby shower cake books that she was looking at.

I really don't know how they get business because their customer service was atrocious, and had the nerve to be expensive! No Ma'am....

After that horrible experience we decided to check out Torrance Bakery in Torrance and it was a very pleasant experience...we think we are going to go with them:)

Horrible Service. I would give 0 stars if I could. I ordered a cake from Hansens for my wedding, we had to struggle to get any attention from the saleswoman. When we had to decrease the number of guests we were told our options were:

1. cut all the pieces smaller,

2. some guests could go without cake

3. purchase another tier for $100

We told them to take their cake and shove it. We have since ordered another cake from lovely La Creme Bakery and the difference in how a customer is treated is astounding!! Maybe if we had thousands of dollars to blow Hansens would have treated us better. If you just want a nice cake that doesn't break the bank take your business somewhere else!!

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAKE I HAVE EVER SEEN. I ordered my grandson's 1st Birthday cake from hansen's and his favorite character was the caterpillar from Baby Einstein and Hansen's aced it. The cake was so big and so pretty that we didn't want to cut it. When I picked it up from the bakery with my grandson he had the biggest smile on his face because he recognized the caterpillar. Great tasting cake as well.

I don't understand!!!!!. I have been a Hansen's customer for20 years and then some. The cakes have never failed to be amazing. I can't imagine the situations that people have written about the product being so horrible. The customer service issues are there but if a product is good, I can get past some things. All the flavors I have ordered are great. I have never had a problem with the decoration or last minute changes. I would say maybe I've been lucky but I have ordered too many cakes (from5 inch to 4 tier weddingcakes) for that to be the case. AND, for the skeptics out there, I am not a Hansen's employee.

Dont believe the hype. I had a dinner party at Ketchup restaurant this past weekend. I was searching for a good bakery but had heard a lot of bad things about this one bakery in particular, Hansen Cakes. After an unsuccessful search, i ended up at Hansen Cakes.Hansen Cakes created a giant size ketchup bottle cake for my ?th birthdat party. Not only was the cakes physical appearance flawless but the cake was absolutely delicious. I had the lemon cake with raspberry filling. Talking about moist and creamy. Umm, umm good. The cake was so beautiful that everyone that passed by the cake wanted to take a picture of it. The cake was a little pricey but you know what they say, you gotta pay for the cake. lol

BEST CAKE EVER!!!. They sales person that helped was great. The cake looked better than I could have ever expected but even better it tasted GREAT!!! The bakers are AAAAMAZING!!!

AMAZING! I <3 HANSEN CAKES. me and my family have been getting cakes here for 20 years. they are amazing and i would never get them from anywhere else! they have amazing customer service too. it is also great that they take last minute orders

CAKES. I have been buying Hansen's cakes for the better part of 20 years. I have NEVER been disappointed in any way regarding quality, service, price, appearance. I gave a wedding cake to a friend as a gift for her wedding and the guestes LOVED it!! Anyone who does not appreciate these works of art should just go the grocery for their cakes-their loss!!!

Great place to custom order cakes. Great place, I ordered a custom cake from this venue for an event - cake with a photograph image.

You can also cake taste which is a neat - try before you buy.

Prices can climb when you load up the options, but otherwise the standard prices are reasonable. - rush order, image on cake, custom flavors.
