So So. The food is okay.

This location on Larchmont has very slow, mediocre service.

The hostess on duty is not in a hurry to seat you---most times, she's not at her station, so you have to ackwrdly wait around and wonder if you should just seat yourself.

Many times I've returned there, to see that several tables have been left dirty.

The table we sat at last night did not even have any place settings. In fact, the candle wasn't even lighted. When I nicely asked the witress if she could light it, she lokked put out.

Overall, the food here isn't worth the frustration caused by the staff.

So no, I wouldn't return here again.

Tom Yum Soup is awesome. I guess this place is a bit over priced, but I believe they have an A rating, so that is why folks go to this place. Also, for the hot waiters and waitress. If you go in a big group, it doesn't come out to that much, since you split the food evenly and you get to try different foods. If you start buying alcohol, like anywhere, the bill will be out of control. I enjoy it everytime I go there for dinner and when I'm not in a hurry.

Great Thai food ,good place and my favorite delivery !. I was first introduced to this place by cutie food man when our office had delivery for a lunch meeting on last monday. I and family went here for a dinner last night. We got there around 7 pm and we were quickly seated. The atmosphere is warm and inviting; the Host is pretty. I got a thai ice tea ( very good ) and Tom Kha,Beef Satay, Duck Rool,Curry Chicken, which I love. Mango Sticky rice that was Wonderful decorate and seriously DELICIOUS. The food came out very quickly. The staff was very nice and we were constantly waited on. I'd definately return....YES !!! Great Thaifood, good price, delivery, and valet

mis-guiding. i think citysearch needs to re-review this listing. i did a search on 'citysearch' for cheap thai food places, and chan dara popped up. CLEARLY they are no where near a one dollar sign meal price. u can see that by going on their website. Thai food is delicious, and doesnt need to be that pricey anyway. silly white people and their overpriced BS. if u want real thai food, this is NOT the place. real noodle dishes in a thai restaurant go for about $6. if you're paying more than that, you're a sucka. go get some culture, u idiotic los angeles yuppies.

great restaurant!!. i've been to chandara many times and always impressed with their service and smiles. waitresses are cute and polite. when i ask whether the food is good or bad, they always tell the truth. that's one thing i love about the waitresses there. when it gets packed, they would come to our table immediately and tell us the food would be a little late because of this and that which i personally understand if it doesnt take a day to serve it. busboys are nice and friendly. they gently ask if we are done with our dish so they could get new settings for us which is great!!!! valet guys are the best!! aint a day i dont t tip them!! haha...highly recommended to ladies that love good thai food and to those guys that never seen hot thai girls before haha...this place rocks!!!

nice place, good food in my heart... I'm one of the fan of chan dara larchmont. I'm a good customer here for two years. I love chan dara because the food overthere is not ordinary. I love seafoods, they are fresh. For the people who love spicy, catfish basil and chilli sause is recommended. It's so good!!! Black seabass with miranated miso stirred fried ong choi is another one which you guys will love it. I'm impressed everytime i've been there. Hostesses are very welcom and waitresses are cute. waitress knows the food well enough to suggest me a good food. I love the service either, the food comes the right time. I just love this place. i give them 5 stars in my mind

Great Thai Food with an exotic twist and warm service with a smile. After five years, I continue to find the House of Chan Dara on Larchmont near Hancock Park to be the top choice forThai cuisine. The food is excellent and not your oridinary Thai but an exotic blend of Thai and asian cuisine. I recommend the Calamari Chardonney for an appetizer with the The Chilean Sea Bass with wasabi sauce atop midori buck wheat noodles as my favorite entree. The Hostesses are warm and accomodating and the waitresses are always great doing their best to make your meal an enjoyable one. . For a large party, I would recommend to call ahead and inform them of any specal requests. A 5 star in my book

Worst service,never again. I picked the place because of the reviews I saw on citysearch..so we were celebrating a birthday yesterday and I called ahead to make reservations,ask about a cake at the end for the celebration,or if we could bring our own.The hostesses may look good,but barely speak English.The person who made my reservation was nice enough to give us a semi private table for the group,which was the only good part.

So we go there,about 9:30 pm,most of the hostesses are just chilling..no one came to take our orders..we had different people coming to us when we asked for a hostess,it was a complete mess..they never came to take orders,finally when we called someone,she comes and tells us the kitchen is closing and we have to order the entire main course at once..we finished the food and waitied waited..somebody camke from the valet parking and returned our keys,said we have to take our car ourselves and took the cash from us.

I had to go ask for the cake..another new hostess said "you have to pre order before..only then we decorate it..excuse me???"So I had to pick something from their dessert menu,which was good,but she brings that,no dessert plates and no one came to clear the table at all..

In short,the place is a total mess..food is average,there are much much better Thai places in LA.

Great service and Great Food. I'hv been to many Thai Restaurant in Socal. But I never ever seen anyone Great service like this. Here at Chan Dara Larchmont that I have a meet beautiful waitress. She also sweet and take good care of me. I definitely will tell everyone about this and I have to come back again and again. I like you so much "Amy"

Keep up the good work!!!. I have been to too many thai restaurants all over SoCal and beyond. I have never once seen any of their waitresses as beautiful as the ones they have here at Chan Dara Larchmont!!! :-) They are all so nice! Our server came with a smile and promptly taking our orders. The food was so great! We had Seafood Soup which was so huge portion and the whole catfish you can feed a whole family! I was so shock! :-) Moreover I can't believe it they didn't even use the MSG here unlike Nathalee and other thai places I have been. I can tell if any dish use MSG or not because I get severe headache every time after the meal. The decor was so elegant. My son loves Chicken Noodle. He begged me to order one more for midnight snack before we left. The music, I think it was Acid Jazz of some type which gave an upbeat and exciting atmosphere. Valet parking person was so nice like a gentleman. It was so much fun being here! Definately I will go back and bring more friends next time! Keep up the good work, Chan Dara!
