Swerve is a much needed OASIS in the desert that is LA!. There is no place like Swerve - it's home. The vibe is totally supportive in so many ways. The teachers and staff will support you on whatever your journey - whether it's to transform physically, mentally or spiritually or just to let loose & get rid of some of that extra stress you developed at work or sitting in traffic. If you just want to laugh & have a good time or take some time for yourself - you can do it at Swerve!! There's truly something for everyone here. There's a huge selection of classes, from yoga, meditation to kick ass sculpt classes, circuit training in the gym, ballet, bellydance, bollywood and hybrid YBB! So much to offer! I suggest to try them all! Each is different & unique, just like the people who come to Swerve. It's no joke - Swerve *is* a Kula of the heart - My Oasis. And all you need to do is be there...that's it. And you've joined and you'll feel welcome. They'll remember your name or your face. It's that kind of place! ENJOY!

The Most Feel-Good Gym in LA. Swerve is truly one of LA's gems. It offers a wide range of classes that are taught by inspiring and fun teachers. If you want a light workout, you can get it, or if you want a truly intense (and at the same time, spiritual) workout, you can get that, too. Gillian's warmth and wisdom is a blessing, and her presence is such a big part of Swerve.

Fitness Made Fun. I have to admit that at first I was a bit intimidated to try the class, but once I did I felt like I discovered a gem. Yoga Booty Ballet is a fun, dynamic, exciting and challenging class. By the end of class, I think I actually started yelling, "Yeah!" :) I'm bringing my girlfriends to try it.

no pressure place. I am a teacher at swerve and I love the unique variety of people I meet here. There's always a warm welcome at the front desk, and the classes are top-notch. I take Patty's circuit training class and i LOVE it. She is a fabulous teacher. It's great to have a studio in LA where you don't feel pressured to look a certain way, but rather to feel good about yourself!

Amazing kick butt classes!. Swerve is like an oasis in Los Angeles. I felt welcome the second I walked through the door and not only was I sweating like crazy in the classes, I was smiling too, which is hard to find when working out. They have a great variety from yoga and pilates to dance classes like their signature Yoga Booty Ballet. Overall an amazing place to perspire and be inspired!

Inspiring. I stumbled into a Yoga Booty Ballet class not knowing what to expect. It was a creative, inspiring, fun and fierce workout. The facility has a dance studio feel which I enjoy. The atmosphere was friendly and non-judgemental.

Class was 90 minutes. We started with a yoga warm up and a few positive affirmations. Next, the cardio dance section which was innovative, yet easy to follow. After dancing, we moved into sculpting exercises which seemed ballet based. Class ended with yoga stretches and a short meditation.

innovative. Swerve is such a great place to get a workout. The instructors teach innovative methods, and keep the routine fresh and fun. They fill up quick, so call and ask about classes times and occupancy. They also have a separate personal training gym, which I haven't used, but prices seem fair and the equipment looks brand new.
