33.863315 -118.266003horrible concessions, amazing show, horrible venue, great place, stale hot tamales
Avoid.
The show I saw was amazing and the arena itself is a great place to see a show. Having said that, if you can see a concert anywhere else, do it. The parking is a complete nightmare and you pay $20 for the priveledge (and have to walk quite a ways to the arena).
The concessions are horrible (except for the kettle-corn kioske). I paid for a water and stale Hot Tamales and asked for a small cup of ice (for the water) and they wanted to charge me $5.50 for a cup with ice in it. RIP OFF!!
Horrible venue.
Number one reason I will never return:Parking. It took over an hour JUST TO GET OF THE PARKING LOT. There was no order, nobody really directing traffic. At one point my husband had to get out of the car and confront a guy directing traffic - he was sitting on the hood of the car in the front of the line to prevent that car from moving into traffic, which prevented everyone else behind him from moving too. Gridlock all over the lot. Every man for himself. Now I understand road rage.
And expensive - did I mention the parking was a nightmare? Well, they charge you $20 for the pleasure.
Brand-new, state-of-the-art arena for Galaxy soccer games, concerts and more..
In Short
From official U.S. Olympic training site to live music venue for top acts, this new arena primarily serves as the home of the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team. Additionally, the U.S. Soccer Federation uses the facility as its national headquarters, and the San Diego Chargers have brought football to the stadium, making it their summer training camp base. Heavy hitters like like Serena Williams and Monica Seles pull in tennis aficionados, while prestigious track and field events have already drawn crowds with the Center's inaugural event.
Be warned....
If you have never been to this venue before, gather directions and all info before you head down there. Assuming this was like any other large venue in Los Angeles County, I assumed there would be signs, an obvious exit from the freeway and arrows pointing me in the right direction. Sadly to say, there was not. The parking was also hidden from view, with one sign and a few cops vaguely pointing the way.
I can not verify what it is like coming here for a sporting event, but for a concert, it was a nightmare.
