tasteless dry, tasteless potatoes, big cheap hotdog, reasonable pr, wonderful generous portions, wonderful homestyle cooking
Actually, really, bad..
Terrible. They use the cheapest ingredients possible. I've eaten breakfast there 3 times- twice under protest. The eggs are cheap. The toast is cheap bread. The tomatoes are mealy super-market tomatoes. The potatoes are dry and tasteless. Their sausage is like a big hot-dog. It's on the menu as keilbasa or something, and it's a big, cheap hotdog. The pancakes? Worst I've ever had. Dry, tasteless and crumbly.
I've had better breakfasts, with better ingredients, at Denny's.
They're the only "diner" on Larchmont serving up traditional "diner" breakfasts, so they get a lot of wealthy neighborhood people eating there who think they're having a good time, being all blue-collar at their cute neighborhood diner. Bottom line: "cute" diner in wealthy neighborhood gets by on supposed charm alone, and serves up a lot of crappy food in the process.
