Finally, someone who can cut short hair in this town. I discovered Darin a couple years ago, when I first moved to LA. Since that time, I haven't gone anywhere else for a cut. He's one of the few people who can cut short hair and give it some shape. Plus, the rotating gallery of artwork is always interesting and lively.

Helen Rocks.... Helen Is the best hairstylist in L.A.. In response to NTheKnow. Usually when people are concerned about the price they ask. If you don't ask it's your loss and you should pay whatever the service is. May It be a lesson learned.

Helen is the best. Helen is awesome and she's been cutting my hair for over 10 years. I followed her to Chop Chop from her last salon and I've always had great work from her. People stop me on the street to comment on my great haircut.

Go to Chop Chop and ask for Helen! You will not be disappointed.

unjustified comment. I'm the one that cut his hair and I want to tell my side of the story. At any point in the consultation he should have not agreed to me blending in the sides of his hair and cutting into the top of his hair. My prices are $95 and I gave him a 50% discount. He should have come out and said is this going to be free? Then I wouldn't of wasted my time to give him a haircut. In the 15 years of me cutting hair, I've never been accused of burning someone's sideburns.

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE!!!. Walked in asking for a sideburn trim. Walked out with a 50$, "discounted" bill. Called the owner, Darin, to ask what happened between my asking for a 5 second procedure and leaving with a hefty tab. He told me I looked "pretty" and if I wanted a simple cut I should have gone to my "regular girl."

PS: The cut is horrific!! Helen murdered my sideburns. My photo shoot tomorrow is going to be a disaster thanks to this greedy "salon" owner and his no-talent hair burning staff.

JULI MASSAKAS WINS COLORIST OF THE YEAR. CHOP CHOP WINS SALON OF THE CENTURY.. I walked in and they had Hershey kisses ready for me. I sat down and i got warm fresh coffee. I closed my eyes and felt awesome because the stylist and colorist, Juli Massakas, had such a great attentive touch and rhythm. I opened my eyes and poof! I looked gorgeous too. The coloring was professional and fierce, the setting was exceptional, and the people were to LIVE for! Thank you Miss Massakas for making me look like a billion bucks, and thank you Chop Chop for providing the highlight of my day!

DARIN = MAGIC!. Darin, the owner of the salon, gave me the best haircut I've EVER had in my life, no exaggeration. I have one of those unfortunate limpy, fine Asian hair that doesn't do anything. I was resigned to wearing my hair in a boring ponytail for eternity. Darin somehow magically transformed my limpy lock into a fun, swinging, perfectly layered 'do that looks great blown out or towel-dried. (Okay, maybe it wasn't magic; he did spend a long time cutting the layers, strand by strand, checking how each one behaved when wet and dried.)

For the first time in years, I'm actually wearing my hair down. It's been over a month since my cut, and my hair still looks fantastic. Try Darin; you will never, ever go to another stylist again.

Best hair experience I have ever had!. What a great experience! I went to this salon for the first time today, and I have to say I walked out feeling like a million bucks! Juli did my color, and she was so helpful in telling me what my options are. I have been coloring my hair black for ages, and wanted to change to a more natural color. She advised me to do it gradually, and I must say the result is simply beautiful. She colored my roots a deep dark brown that blends in perfectly with the rest of the hair, and gradually will keep coloring my hair like that as it grows, until I reach the lighter brown I am dreaming of. After my color, I had an appointment with Amy to get a haircut. Now, I must say, I am very very impressed with the results. She really knows what she's doing! My original haircut was a sort of a bob, but not quite one, as the person who previously cut it didn't really know how to cut a nice bob. I told Amy I wanted to reshape my bob so that it looks better as my hair grows, and boy, she gave me THE BEST HAIRCUT I have ever had, EVER. I look totally different now, and I really feel like one of those models from the cover of a magazine. She did a great great job in the front, and she changed my look completely. I honestly couldn't imagine this haircut would be so gorgeous, as I have plenty of disappointing experiences in the past. Not with Amy though. She is REALLY good at this, I I cannot imagine going anywhere else from know on. This visit to Chop Chop salon really made my day!!!!!!!!

If you are looking for a high class hair salon, with a cool vibe, with people that make you feel right at home, and with the very best hair stylists, then you should go to Chop Chop. Also, I have to say their prices are also pretty good compared to a Beverly Hills salon that will charge you twice the amount for the same thing!

Great experience, highly recommended!!!

AMAZING PLACE...AMAZING COLOR!!!. I LOVE this place! I just got my hair colored today by Juli. SHE IS AWESOME! It is by far the best color I have ever had. My hair is sooooo soft, even after getting my roots bleached and toned. This is my new favorite place and suggest that everyone should go. The whole staff was great and if you are in need of color...GO SEE JULI!!!!

Great people and professional!!. After having different people at different salons do my hair (color, cut, straighten, etc.), it was Chop Chop that made me feel more welcome and comfortable. I knew that as soon as I walked in, it was going to be a great experience. A bad hair day is a terrible day as we all know and I knew I would be very satisfied. Juli did my color and I still get compliments to this day! She cares about her work and wants to make sure you will be happy. If she doesn't think a style or color will work, she won't do it. She is here for you and takes pride in her work. Darin has the friendly smile and all the other stylists will make you feel right at home. The only negative is the parking, but you deal with it. It is so worth it. Come to Chop Chop!!!!
