High tables and a busy open kitchen welcome diners into the spacious, brightly lit black-and-white interior. Just minutes after cashiers take customer orders, fresh-made tacos, burritos and enchiladas (stuffed with steak, chicken or seafood) arrive on the nearby counter. The menu also offers several plates of greens, from typical taco salad to fancier bowls with shrimp or mahi mahi. A stainless-steel bar offers several salsas, plus jalapenos, limes and cilantro for seasoning.

USED TO like this place, but not anymore....
I've visited this location often since it opened in 2000. The salsas are fresh (the black "salsa baja" is best), and that's the best thing I can still say about it. The quality of the food, better in the past, is now mediocre. These days, the servers get the order wrong half the time. I ordered a veggie burrito once, which is supposed to have beans, cheese, onions and peppers. It came to me with nothing other than pico de gallo and guacamole! My parents keep going here because it's close to home, but I'd go somewhere else.
