Editorial Review for Four Seasons Hotel Spa – by Robyn Fener

The Scene
One is liable to bump into Nicole Kidman, Matt Damon or Shaquille O'Neal on the way to this elegant facility located next to the pool at this landmark hotel in Beverly Hills. The locker area is intimate and calming in white tones with Mediterranean blue accents. Every feature--from the private dressing room and abundance of amenities (including razors, toothbrushes, lotions and various hair products) to the positively graceful decor and accommodating staff--proves this is quite possibly the finest spa in Los Angeles.

The Services
In the candlelit waiting area, guests in plush white robes nibble on dried fruit as they wait for technicians to lead them into tranquil treatment rooms. For the deliciously indulgent one-hour aromatherapy massage, a selection of scented oils is applied with expert hands providing pure warmth and peace. Other options for luxurious relaxation include the Cellular Repair Facial, Body Bronzing Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Chamomile Body Scrub and more.

The Details
Steam room, dry sauna. Massage, body treatments, wet treatments, facials, hair removal, manicure/pedicure, full-service salon.

As a woman, I was a bit nervous to be massaged by a man. However, I was referred to David May at the four Seasons Hotel and it was the most relaxing massage I've ever experienced. He was so polite, so professional, and has magical hands. I was completely rejuvenated and revived. I have been back several times and each time is an amazing experience. I am a hairdresser and on my feet all day so I really need a massage therapist who can meet all my physical healing needs and David May is just the one to get your body just like new. I am hooked on this treatment and will be a forever client of Davids. I highly recommend David to anyone who loves to be treated like royalty and needs TLC.

Pros: friendly staff, Valet parking, Great Ambience, and amazing service.

The receptionist assisted me with answering my questions when I called she said my facialist was great and gets booked fast, I thought we will see. Of course everyone knows the Four Seasons is the place to be in the city for cocktails and celebrity sites but I had no idea how comfy, cozy and personable the spa was. Waited in the lounge for my "dermal roller facial" a new treatment exclusively to the spa. Therapist would pass each other and say hello to each other and to guest and ask if we wanted water, tea or fruit. My facialist came around the corner with a smile like sunshine and introduced herself hello, I'm Jamilla. WoW! her skin was gorgeous I asked will my skin look like yours when I'm done? We both giggled :-). We went it a room called Gardenia she told me to make myself comfy and I did. Examining my skin with her warm&confident hands she asked me questions about my skin&daily maintenance which I was very impressed. Jamilla explained the derma roller facial was from leaf&rusher in beverly hills and showed me the incredible tool that was gold and had little points on the roller, it is made by balinese artisans & simulates balinese massage. the roller stimulates the skin, improves the penetration of the product as well as improves my complexion diminishing fine line and wrinkles my type of facial! Jamilla proceeded to cleanse and nourish my skin as I slipped in & out of consciousness her touch was so nurturing & healing while the mask was on she massaged my feet I had to ask her are u a massage therapist? she said yes bingo! A esthetician & massage therapist I am her client for life! she worked on my arms, neck & scalp I was totally mesmerized. Placing a serum on my skin that felt like a veil of silk, my skin was so light as she rolled the roller on my skin it felt a bit pricklely, explaining to me what direction and pressure to use. I had to give her a hug it felt as though I had a transformation. Definitely 5 star I highly recommend Jamilla she is amazing.

Pros: Jamilla, Facial, Cozy Spa

Cons: Valet Very Very Busy
