“Basically, this is not nearly the best pizza in the city but the location is convenient for us and the price is reasonable.”
“Having been born and raised in New York and lived in Chicago for years -- I know good pizza.”
“Having come from NY and knowing what good pizza is, this place has it all!”
“But, what is something as common as good pizza worth if it supports bad people?”
“THe price is perfect too.”
“Village Pizzeria's delivery is usually slow, so order with that in mind.”

As a born and raised New Yorker, finding a good slice of pizza in LA is few and far between; that said, with its East Village taste, Village Pizzeria is, what I consider, the second best pizza shop in LA.

Am I in LA or New York? Seriously rivals any authentic NY pizza but with the lovely LA weather.

Family friendly neighborhood pizza shop that some New Yorkers swear can pass for the real thing has thin crusts loaded with traditional toppings.
Great Pizza.
I have only ordered once from Village Pizza however it was very easy. I was able to place my order online and someone called to confirm the order and 20 minutes later they were at my door. Great Service!!!
The food is also very very good!
Pizza!. They have the best thin crust pizza here and what separates them from everyone else is their crust!! The garlic rolls are also very very good and price is so affordable! $8.50 for a whole lunch special (which includes an individual pizza of 6-8 slices, a side salad, garlic roll and drink)
Best Pizza in LA. It's like being in NYC!! Best pizza here in LA hands down!! And the owner/workers are very friendly.
Soggy pizza. I've been ordering pizza from village for a few years and have usually been very satisfied.....but lately, the pizza has become too soggy. Ask for it extra crisp does not matter. I will give it one more try then will need to find a new neighborhood pizzeria :(
Convenient location, poor service, mediocre pizza.
My husband and I love pizza and we love walking on Larchmont. Although we have dined at Village Pizzeria a dozen times, our experience is always the same. The wait staff seems to rush us through our meal, giving us the check before we have asked for it, even when there is no one waiting for a table. The pizza is just OK. It's usually a little soggy because they don't bake it long enough but the toppings and the thickness of the crust are good. If I order a slice of pizza, I only get the cheese. When you order a slice with toppings, they put the toppings on a slice of cheese pizza and reheat it so the toppings are still raw and crunchy. Not good.
Basically, this is not nearly the best pizza in the city but the location is convenient for us and the price is reasonable.
It's a Pizzeria not the four seasons. This place is superb. Great pies, great toppings, quickly made. If you are sitting down, relax, if you are ordering form your house, pick it up. It's too good of a pie to complain.
New York-style pizza and California freshness join to produce authentic, thin crust pizzas on the hip Larchmont strip.. What started in San Francisco in the early 1970's has now exploded in Los Angeles' quiet Larchmont neighborhood. Since 1996, this wedge of New York-style pizza heaven has pleased lovers of the giant thin crust slice, providing super fresh toppings and homemade sausage and meatballs. The handful of well-worn red tables that spill out onto the front sidewalk offer a somewhat quiet respite from the absolute chaos held inside, where harried servers scramble past walls littered with ancient newspaper clippings and the pizzeria's multitude of awards. The hustle and bustle is just a small price to pay for such delicious pie.
Excepetional Pizza.
We all know that good pizza is hard to come by in LA, but fear not, as Village Pizza has come to save us all!
They've just opened a new store in hollwooy, on Yucca. Which just so happens to be a 3 min walk from my office. Most lunch times are now pizza or some variation thereof.
Their calzone is to die for. I highlt reccomend it. Everything else is just as good and the price is excellent.
Hopefully they'll open up a store on the west side so that i can eat it for dinner to!
BEST PIZZA.
Best pizza!--had it since i was a kid in SF on my dad's dates...(25 yrs ago) --nice to have one in LA now for my dates!!
Goumet ingredients, variety & they serve beer & wine..
Disappointing Pizza.
What a bummer. I was really looking forward to finding a good local pizzeria. I moved to Ktown recently and have been looking for a good pizza place. With the Zagat ratings the Village has, I thought I'd be eating yummy pizza. Unfortunately not. My pizza dough was soggy. The toppings bland. Totally disappointing.
I ordered the feta, artichoke pizza. I think it may be too ambitious of a pizza for them because it didn't work. Everything fell off the dough and the dough was soggy. The sauce was bland and the consistency strange.
So my quest continues for a good pizzeria option around Koreatown.
