This is a family owned restaurant. Ran by father and son. You always feel welcome when you dine. The food is out of this world. I highly recommend the tortilla soup and any of the salads.

Took friends from San Francisco there early on a Saturday night. Not too crowded, no issue for not having reservations. Very, very personable Maitre d' and wait staff. Lots of local regulars in place (as one should always expect on Larchmont). We had Jamaican tamales, crabcakes, and the empanada appetizer. All was wonderful. The beans and rice as the side dish were excellent. The Korean spirit used in most of their cocktails was different, but worked well in the mojito I had. Decent beer and wine selection.

Definitely fine dining at a reasonable price. Perfect for a first date: subtle lighting, beautiful decoration, great food and tasty desserts. Afterwards, you can walk down Larchmont and window shop.
