In Short – This busy and popular Thai hangout on Colorado features a new gleaming five-seat sushi bar and adjacent outdoor patio replete with twining mandevilla vines and cheerful umbrellas. The spacious dining room boasts cerulean blue-vinyl booths, white tablecloths, and fun, psychedelic Thai Op-art. Young hipsters and families gather for specialties like crabs with mint leaves, salmon with tamarind, and tangerine shrimp. The extensive sushi menu features traditional sushi and sashimi, over 30 types of rolls including the "crunch" roll, with shrimp tempura and crab.

Did not deliver

by hungryvegan

I have to give Panang only one star because, I just spent over an hour waiting for a delivery that never came. When I called to see when my food might come, I was told they "would not be able to make it in time". I don't know if they were referring to the food preparation or the delivery. When I asked for clarification I was still confounded with a bunch of information about the manager not being there and she is the only one who can make it...? Finally, I was asked if I wanted to cancel the order. When it became clear that no food had yet been prepared (that I might be able to pick up), I canceled. I have to wonder why they bother taking your phone number and don't bother calling, when they have no intention of making or delivering your food. And not even an apology...

If this is how they do business, I can't imagine them staying in business for too long.

We have ordered to go once and dined in once. The food was fair to poor. We were trying out some of the new vegan options but will not be returning there again.

  • Pros: many selections
  • Cons: poor quality food and no understanding of how to run a business

Crossroad of the Far East

by aac11

It was 9:30 p.m., 4th of July - and they were open. This is my first time at Panang Restaurant. Outside, their signage says "Thai Cuisine". On the windows are posters saying "Sushi Bar", "Chinese Cuisine" and "Pho". I was a bit confused but since they were the only ones open in maybe 5 square miles, so what the heck!

At the entrance across the Cashier is a small gift shop. The setup is a medium-sized diner. The waiter gave me the menu and I was astonished. Their menu covered Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino and Vietnamese - the best of the Far East world. I settled for fried tofu, calamari roll and soda. The fried tofu was standard, but the calamari roll came as a surprise. Each slice had a very good quantity of calamari with a thin roll of rice. And on top of each slice is a bite-size calamari! Most sushi bars would serve you rice with calamari, but this one is truly calamari with rice! Outstanding! They even refilled my soda.

The prices are inexpensive. The waiter was very courteous and attended to each table professionally. I will definitely visit again and try the Thai menu.

awe-inspiringly terrible.

by edshieh

I'm serious, for the love of god, please, please don't eat there. I actually registered onto this website to decry this horrible, horrible restaurant, and i've often time dreamed of burning it to the ground as a service to eagle rock. Where to start! Pad Thai is the universal can't-fail-even-if-you-wanted-to dish, but somehow, SOMEHOW, they butchered it. I don't know if they taste what they cook, but the shrimp they added in was filthy- and bad shrimp has a horrible aroma to it. I had to soak my noodles in Sri Racha and lime juice just to force it down. The BBQ Spare Ribs were a devious combination of stench and spices, to a point where i felt like i was eating marinated dung. I truly, truly detest this place, and the fact that this restaurant is still open only reflects the culinary retardation of americans towards ethnic food. please, PLEASE let this restaurant bankrupt. for the children. their sushi is over-priced and mediocre.

  • Pros: delivers
  • Cons: wouldn't wish this food on Hitler
