SHAMPOO and haircut too!. I was referred to Shampoo by a friend who had his hair cut there. I made an appointment for 10am on a Saturday with Josh.

I arrived a little early and was greeted happily by a friendly receptionist and offered coffee and/or water while i waited. I loved the energy inside. Everyone had smiles, and was happy. A few regular customers came in for appointments. (I could tell because they were warmly greeted like old pals!) Everyone on staff was very friendly and nodded, smiled and/or said, "Hello."

Josh was exellent as well! He greeted me and asked what i'd like to do, to which i replied, "WHATEVER YOU THINK?" He took on the challenge and did a great job. He was great conversation throughout the cut and very friendly. He also paid attention to the task at hand, by asking me questions about like/dislike and styling to ensure that he gave me the right cut.

I was thoroughly pleased with the cut and style and with the entire place as a whole. When I left I was welcomed back anytime and I will be back! Upon levaing I stopped to get coffee and got two compliments on my new 'do! I'd say that's batting a thousand!

I will definitely be back! I strongly recommend Josh AND his coworkers, and this stylish, trendy, yet VERY welcoming place! Thanks Shampoo!

Gorgeous men, Beautiful Salon and the Best Haircuts and Styles in town. I have been to many top notch salons in the past and i know a gem when i find one. SHampoo has a welcoming appeal and gorgeous men to greet you as you enter. I know when in walk i am going to be treated like a princess and will always walk out looking like a supermodel. Shaul doesn't even have to be told what to do because he just knows. I close my eyes and trust that he will do a stunning job. All my friends go to Shampoo and feel the same way about the experience as i do.

What a fabulous experience!!!!!. There is only one word that can describe my experince at Shampoo Salon - Spectacular!!

After trying several stylists in the L.A. area, I finally found the salon I've been waiting for. Not only are the stylists absolutely gorgeous (and I mean it), the energy and atmosphere was amazing. I received a color cut and blow-dry, and I have never felt so beautiful. Shaul, my stylist, has such a magic touch. Its as if the scissors were an extension of his hands. Being in such a hot location it was no wonder that Eva Longoria walked in to have her hair done while I was there. I truly felt in awe by the entire experience, and can't wait to return for more. A+++

Worst Salon Ever!!!. This salon is definitely the worst that I've ever been to. Not only do you wait for hours, but then you feel rushed and they take very little care with your hair. It's also very pretentious. I went to get my hair colored. Although I had an appointment, I waited 1.5 hours. They hurriedly slabbed on color to my roots (not all my hair) and had me wait fifteen minutes. Then I was taken to the back where they put color on the remainder of my hair and had me wait with my wet hair over a sink. When my stylist finally got to me, he styled my hair while talking on the phone. The color looked uneven, but he said it was due to the salon lighting. When I got home I noticed the roots of my hair have color and the rest of my hair barely has any!!

Horrible!!. This place was soo dissappointing. I purchased a promotional offer and was looking forward to a new cut and style which were promised with the offer. I waited for almost two hours after having my hair shampooed for the stylist to cut my hair which he spent all of five minutes on (i dont think he could have possibly cut all my hair in that amount of time). Very pretentious, did not even apoligize for making me wait and sent me on my merry way while my hair was still wet!! This was the worst hair cut I have ever gotten.

VERY disappointed!. After buying a special 4 appointment package, I was excited to be pampered. After waiting over an hour for my "stylist", I was rushed thru a shampoo (no scalp massage, as promised on the flyer), and cut... then I was hussled out the door with soaking wet hair! (Even those the gift certificate plainly says: Cut, Shampoo & Style. I guess style to them means wet dog mane!) VERY pretentious and not even CLOSE to worth it. Don't bother with this place.

Great cut, color in hip atmosphere. After reading the first review for Shampoo, I was a bit nervous about going there, but I decided to check it out anyway. It's right around the corner from where I live, so I was curious (my current stylist is FAR). Anyway, everyone was really sweet. I went to Eytan. He was excellent. Prior to working at Shampoo, he told me his training was with Jose Eber and that he traveled extensively with him styling hair for commercial shoots.

My hair looks great, the color is also really good, I just had lowlights, but I couldn't be happier. I will definitely be going back. The only drawback is the typical high $$$ of the area.

Worst Hair Cut Ever!!!. This is one of the most pretentious places I have ever been- and what's even worse is that my haircut looks horrible. It was ok when I left the salon, but once I got home and tried to style it myself, I had a greater understanding of why they charge $30 to blowdry your hair before they cut it! Not wanting to spend the rest of my day with wet hair, I paid the price. The stylist went completely razor happy, and now my thick locks look more like a rat tail. Thank goodness hair grows back, and that there are much better salons in LA! I suggest you take your hair elsewhere!
