Loved it!!. I drive by this place ALL the time, but never thought to stop. Finally, I decided it was time to try the whole in the wall Sushi Spot in Downey. I took my friend to celebrate her b-day on a Laker night and let me tell you, we did not need a full bar in order to have a good time!! The atmosphere was awesome, the specialty rolls were off the hook, and the shot in a "box" and Asahi's just made it all worth while.

Salmon Sushi with Ponzu Please!. The best stuff on earth. Whenever I go to a sushi restaurant, I always order 1 thing that all sushi places have and compare. My thing is the salmon sushi with ponzu (a real light, citrus-based soy sauce) It seems like every sushi place has their own version of ponzu so that's just another thing to compare. PERFECT with sushi, especially with salmon. Kyoto served my 'standard order' perfectly, the salmon was so fresh my chop sticks sliced it in half no problem.

Neat little place. I'm not a sushi person, but I enjoy trying out new restaurants around my area...I always see this little restaurant...its across the street from the theatre and next to a little spa...I tried the basic California roll and ahi tuna, i think that's what it was...the staff is friendly and the prices are moderate...i can't say it was the best sushi ever, just because i gulp it down...the thought of RAW fish still hasn't left my mind when i eat it....but it's a nice restaurant, nice decor, nice prices and nice staff...

First Visit. This place has nice environment and the waitress was VERY nice. They have a good variety of sushi and good sized menue. The price is a little high and i don't recommend the spider roll. I've had better. I'd totally recommend the spicey tuna salad though, VERY delicious.

Our Favorite!!. My wife and i have been coming here since we were dating. We love sushi and have tried many places. We feel that this is where we have had the best tasting sushi. If you love sushi you should try Kyoto at least once.

Nice place!.
You should check this place out. Worth eating here. Their sushi bar is really nice. This place is not cheap, but not too expensive.
Very nice decor (bamboo).
