Possibly the Worst Experience Ever

Had my first service w/ Merry Maids Glendora today and will not recommend it to anyone. The maids were hard to communicate with, and one of the rep. at the call center was extremely rude. He kept telling me that ?you (I) said to stop the service at 2 hours? and started arguing with me.

I believe that there was some miscommunication at the beginning when the maids first came to the house, and I thought I solved the problem by calling the call center. One of the maids came to the house and told me that it will take 4 hours to clean my house. I live in a town house with the interior of about 1700 sq ft. My house was recently remodeled and everything in the house is new. We also have very minimum furniture in the house.

The way they charge for their service is very unreasonable and unclear. Merry Maids Glendora charges 80 dollars per hour with minimum of 2 hours for the initial service. They indicated that they will provide a flat rate after the initial service. I never got to know flat rate because the rep. indicated that they can only quote on the job they did today.

Even though Merry Maids is a large name in the States, their service quality and attitude still need to be improved. The maids did a decent job at my house, but the rep. at the call center was impatient w/ my concerns. He sounded unhappy when I asked him about the service and rate details and kept mentioning that ?you (I) said? this and that. I had him on the speaker phone, so my friend could hear our conversation. (I wanted my friend to be a fair judge on the rep. attitude, and my friend told me that ?that guy just wanted to fight with you?). All I was trying to do is to figure out how I could keep a relationship with Merry Maids Glendora. After all, if I decide to utilize their service for a long term, I will have to contact the call center. However, I strongly recommend everyone not to employ their service because their customer service quality really needs to be improved.
