Editor's Tips

When to Go:
The restaurant is usually packed from 12pm to 2pm, so if you're pressed for time, call ahead for a takeout lunch.
Parking:
Seward has midday street cleaning on Mondays and Tuesdays, which takes away the few parking spaces out front. Look around the corner on Barton Avenue for a spot.

Love Betty

by Kika Davis 2

Located in a converted bungalow that has both indoor and courtyard seating, Grub's famed "After School Special" includes a gooey grilled cheese sandwich and a cup of their "Creamy Dreamy Tomato" soup. I am in no way a tomato soup fan, but Grub's is so flavorful and compliments the melty, tangy grilled cheese perfectly.

  • Pros: Patio Seating
  • Cons: Parking can be difficult
