The Scene – Green and yellow accents and tables topped with dried lavender brighten this already-cheery converted bungalow. Located in the heart of Tinseltown's post-production houses, it's usually filled with behind-the-scenes industry types, who escape reality with a glass of homemade ginger ale. Chatty servers treat all patrons like family. – – The Food – The menu consists of straight-up comfort fare with just a hint of Hollywood pizzazz. Start by dipping warm, soft pita triangles into the aptly named Mount Olympus, a pile of garlicky hummus, wild mushroom…

As Always...A Great Experience

by BoothV at Citysearch

I had some friends in from out of town today and made sure to put Grub on our late morning itinerary. It's not the first time I've brought some out-of-towner's to Grub and, as usual, I came out looking like a superstar.Food is always great...server's are always smiling and the ambiance always makes me feel like I've left L.A. for a bit.

Trust me on this one. Grub rocks. :)

Friendly, warm service and excellent food.

by Chris P at Citysearch

I work in Hollywood in production and this is one of my regular lunch spots. It's a great place to bring clients. It's not as stuffy as Ammo and the food is better than the Corner. It's fun and friendly and a waiter the other day noticed that I got a new hat. They really seem to care about service and food. And now they have parking down the block...

  • Pros: Awesome sweet crunchy coated bacon! That's right, bacon.
  • Cons: Eat outside if you want to talk.It gets a little loud inside

Well Worth The Drive Across Town

by SueAnnJaffarian at Citysearch

Grub has now become my fav spot, even if I have to fight traffic from the West Side to get there. And I've introduced many friends to it. I've had brunch there twice. The french toast was great if you like sweets for breakfast, but I adored the egg scramble with cheese, tomatoes and chunks of their special "sweet and sassy" bacon. The bacon was sweet and sassy and amazing. Had their truffle mac 'n cheese for dinner. It was fabulous. Portions are good size, prices reasonable, menu very interesting take on comfort food.

The acoustics in the dining room can cause it to be very noisy. It's actually quieter outside on the patio.

  • Pros: Food, Service, Charm
  • Cons: Dining Room Can Be Noisy
