“Laid back and comfortable with really good food.”
“After we told them we didn't mind and were enjoying the whole visit - we got fresh homemade "Thank You" cookies sent to our table after our meal.”
“The service was bad, the waiter never came to refill my drink, and it was pricy.”
“Sub-par service, slightly above average food, pricey cofee, dicey neighborhood.”
“The menu consists of creative comfort food--from 'sweet and sassy thick cut bacon' to truffle burgers--and the kind staff makes sure that your table begins the meal with either a bowl of fruitloops or a plate of legumes and ranch dip.”
“All in all, Grub is a great brunch place.”
“Anyway, I would go back believe it or not and order a salad because they looked good.”
“GREAT service!”
“The sandwiches are huge and tasty.”
“The service, though somewhat slow, is very friendly.”
"Top Chef" season 2's Betty Betty Fraser (and co-owner Denise DeCarlo) brunch-friendly shop serves nearby studios and post production shops with filling meals like the "After School Special" of grilled cheese and tomato soup.

Quite the hidden Hollywood treasure, if you're lookin' for some delicious Grub. And the Berry Berry Good Pancakes? Berry, berry good.

Really cute restaurant in a house. Loved the after school special: Tomato soup with gooey grilled cheese. They bring a basket of veggies to the table to snack on. Great selection of beers too.

I don't generally like bacon, but I made an exception for Grub. Their bacon is amazingly addictive and a little sweet. The rosemary garlic potatoes come with most egg dishes, which are cooked to crisp perfection on the outside. If you want something more decadent, try the Ooh La La egg sandwich, made with a French toast croissant.
Experienced the Grub as a b-day
breakfast.
Great Place!! I returned for brunch today, the food
is awesome. Ambiance, needs refreshing..plants, etc.
Overall 95%.
Cozzy and great outdoor area. You must order the Croissant French Toast...and the crack bacon...it's called crack bacon for a reason!! Yum!
Not good. This place is not that great, this food was bland and boring. I went here with a friend because we wanted to get a quick brunch. All in all, I would not recommend this place.
I am so sorry that we did not live up to your expectations. We take each and every review posted by our guests seriously and we will look into your comments about the food being bland. We are also sorry you found it boring. We try to offer variety to cover all guests tastes, and we do have a few dishes that are on the simpler side. In any case, we apologize and we thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. Have a lovely weekend.
Grub
Not a great name but great food to go!.
A favorite for something quick and easy. Love the ambiance and friendly staff. Try their specials.
Excellent service and they make it fast when you need to run!
Breakfast!. Grub has the best croissant french toast. The selection isnt that big, but what it does have is great.
Love Betty. Located in a converted bungalow that has both indoor and courtyard seating, Grub's famed "After School Special" includes a gooey grilled cheese sandwich and a cup of their "Creamy Dreamy Tomato" soup. I am in no way a tomato soup fan, but Grub's is so flavorful and compliments the melty, tangy grilled cheese perfectly.
As Always...A Great Experience.
I had some friends in from out of town today and made sure to put Grub on our late morning itinerary. It's not the first time I've brought some out-of-towner's to Grub and, as usual, I came out looking like a superstar.Food is always great...server's are always smiling and the ambiance always makes me feel like I've left L.A. for a bit.
Trust me on this one. Grub rocks. :)
Friendly, warm service and excellent food.. I work in Hollywood in production and this is one of my regular lunch spots. It's a great place to bring clients. It's not as stuffy as Ammo and the food is better than the Corner. It's fun and friendly and a waiter the other day noticed that I got a new hat. They really seem to care about service and food. And now they have parking down the block...
Well Worth The Drive Across Town.
Grub has now become my fav spot, even if I have to fight traffic from the West Side to get there. And I've introduced many friends to it. I've had brunch there twice. The french toast was great if you like sweets for breakfast, but I adored the egg scramble with cheese, tomatoes and chunks of their special "sweet and sassy" bacon. The bacon was sweet and sassy and amazing. Had their truffle mac 'n cheese for dinner. It was fabulous. Portions are good size, prices reasonable, menu very interesting take on comfort food.
The acoustics in the dining room can cause it to be very noisy. It's actually quieter outside on the patio.
