poor repair customer service
This is a family-owned business based on expertise and respect. I have been a customer of theirs for years and continue to recommend my family and friends to Philippe simply because of the above and beyond customer service him and his sons provide. They aren't just about business, they make it personal. You can call them with any question or request and rest assured that they will get you honest, thorough answers. Definitely recommend!!
The Worse Nightmare Experience Buying a Watch. Where is ZERO star when you need it. Stay away from these scoundrels, they are the worse people in the business. Nice storefront location in BH while they run a cutthroat cheesy business in the back. Never got the item I paid for. Phone calls and visits didn't deter these guys from never following up. They kept telling me it was on order while time ran out. Don't trust these bandits and take your money somewhere else. BUYER BEWARE!
Bad experience several years ago. Several years ago, I had a bad experience buying online from this store. It might be fine if you go in-person to see the physical inventory, but I can't recommend buying online from Phillippe's Watches.
Best place to buy a watch in LA County. I don't work for or own this place so I'm totally unbiased. They have really classy watches here for excellent prices. Rolexes, Patek Philippe, Cartier, etc. Why buy a new one when you can buy a used one that looks like new at a fraction of the price. These guys know their stuff. Philippe has been in the business about 30 years is a true master of his craft. Highly recommended.
poor repair/ customer service. Admittedly, I've never bought a watch there before; however, I brought my watch there to get repaired and I could not even get an estimate for nearly a month (and counting). I called three times to get an estimate, and each time, invariably, I get very curt answers in different variations of "I'll call you back." When they do call back, it's to inform me that they'll have to call back "at the end of the week." But I never get the call back. Frankly I'm just tired of them treating me this way. Perhaps buying experience will be different since they'll make more money selling a watch than repairing a watch - but after this repair experience I won't be going back there to buy anything.
We are sorry to hear that you were not pleased with the turn around time on your watch service. At any given time we can have dozens of watches on repair that require precise attention given the nature of the work. Additionally, we have no control over when the manufacturers send out parts. They give us an estimated time which we then relay to our customers. Often with older watches it can take weeks even months sometimes to locate parts for watches that are no longer in production. If your watch was sent directly to the manufacturer via our store and not serviced directly by us, (which can be required depending on the damage) we are left at their mercy. We sincerely regret that you had to go through this experience but we always do our best to get repairs back to customers in a timely fashion. You must understand that some things are out of our control and we apologize for any miscommunication that may have occurred.
