Exquisite French Cuisine in NoHo. This place had the all around package: from a beautiful chateau ambience to delicious food to nice service waiters. What more could you ask for. Yes, this place may be a bit pricey, but it's definitely a place for nice occasions and you're sure to enjoy yourself. The food is exquisite. I had the half duck and I couldn't decide whether to choose the cherry or orange glaze, so the waitress gave me a full dose of both. The sauces are so rich and tasty. My partner ordered a delicious filet minon wrapped in a pastry.....mmmhmmm...so rich. The best part for me were the complimentary liver pate on their lightly buttered and toasted french bread. Truly to die for.

Very happy with the service and I'd definitely go back.

HORRIFIC SERVICE. Worst service I have ever experienced. First, we called ahead to ask questions about a gift certificate. We were told to call back to talk to a manager. We did and they assured us there would be no problem with our certificates. Of course right away there was a problem, made worse by the owners insistence that no body would ever tell us that on the phone. So basically he's calling me a liar within 5 minutes of walking into the place. Nice. Then we say down and it took them 15-20 minutes before we even got menus. Did I mention this place was DEAD for a saturday night? The waitress never filled our glasses of water once, thankfully we flagged down another waitress who helped us out. It took a half hour for 3 medium wellington's and one beef medallion to be served. And they forgot the sauce for the wellington, the waitress brought it out after 2 of us were already done eating and didn't really care at all. We ended up not using our gift certificates so we didn't have to tip 18%, instead we left $6 for a check of $182. Hope they get the message. Save your money for a place that deserves it. Worst service ever, felt like we were at a Chili's or something.

Are people who eat here without tastebuds?. I can't believe that the reviews here are "real". You can't call this expensive place

"great french food" - it doesn't even qualify for "great" in the same sentence as "food".

Great ripoff, great location, great if you know nothing about french food, but no, not great food.

Expensive, outdated (which we don't care if the food would be good)

Stunning Food and Service. You know things are a bit different when, on the way in, the doors are all labeled in French. Inside, you pass the bar and are seated in a room filled with charming ambience. The lighting, appropriately subdued. The service, impeccable. We ordered from the Tuesday special, printed separately from the menu and only +/- $27 for soup/salad, main course, and dessert, augmented by a menu item or two.

The food was perfect. Having dined at many French places, Le Petit Chateau elevates the cuisine over most of the competition, quite a surprise for the valley. We had a good French onion soup, a well made mixed green salad, stuffed chicken medallions, and I had a pasta dish (think pasta primavera elevated to genuine cuisine) accented by prosciutto. Fantastic.

Treated to an overall elegant presentation, when it came to the dessert, it was characteristically, and as expected, artful, with a twist (my memory banks could not register a match for the interesting bread pudding over creme fraiche I had) which spoke to in-house preparation which often is sorely lacking in restaurants of this caliber. Commercial pastry shops often insult a good menu. Not at Le Petit.

In closing, go someday and you may find me there. It is a menu worth the exploration!

i really hope that "the rude owner". Told Franck "below" to eat at Mc Donalds next time. This guy do not have a clue of what "fine dining" is all about!!

And if the waitresses are aging a little, is just because they have been kept on the staff due to the excellent service they have done thru the years.

I know, i am aging too, and always glad to go back again and again at le petit chateau.

Not Worth it. this place is expensive and not worth the food. Owner is rude and sits at the bar. All the waitresses are old women.

Place is in a dark corner, food is ok but not great

Romantic atmosphere for a quiet, leisurely dinner w/ friends or a special someone. One of my favorite restaurants. Pricey but worth it. Wonderful appetizers (escargot, salads, etc). Beef Wellington, lamb chops, are always made exactly to order. Specials & fish are excellent. Great bernaise sauces. Start with a cocktail, incredible range of martinis & they don't water the drinks. Home baked French bread, unsalted butter and save room for fantastic desserts. Creme brulee, flourless chocolate cake. Wonderful older waitress, don't blame the wait staff for the slow busboy service. I've eaten here 1--2 a year for the past 5 years & have never been disappointed. We have never done the wine tasting dinners, but for wine lovers, they are terrific. Highly recommended. NOT for children.

If you want a real french dinner ........this is it !!!!. I should know......i'm french , and i have for a long time searched for a great , affordable french restaurant in los angeles , now i found it !!!

I had my first dinner 2 weeks ago , since then i could not resist , and went back 7 times, and had a wonderfull dining experience every single time , the waiters are very friendly and attentive......... my favorites the duck , the sweetbreads (the only place in town you should eat sweetbread)... A GOOD TIP ... do not have any deserts , or you'll have another ,then another ..

i cannot wait to go and try my first wine pairing dinner , i understand they have one every month.

SO HAVE A GREAT DINNER AT "LA PETITE CHATEAU" BECAUSE YOU DO DESERVE IT !
