Top Spot in LA. I loved this place for its staff' bohnomie, the size and features of the rink, itself, and the freaking-amazing moves of the other skaters.

Top feature to recommend the rink: it's larger than the one in glendale, AND it has a little "baby-rink" in the center. The baby rink sheltered some youngsters completely new to skating, but it also gave me -- a 20-something hipster-fledgling -- safe space to perfect some basic but tricky moves. It was just large enough to practice skating and turning, and trying to start skating backwards.

It wasn't very crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Plus, there were some regulars who were AMAZING. Grooving as they whizzed around the rink's perimeter.

All in all, overlook the slightly dilapidated cubbies, and come on out!!

This place was awesome. This place was awesome. It was just like when you were a kid. The people that worked there were very friendly. The music was good and the regulars were real nice. I had so much fun! I would definitely go again. Who knows maybe I'll buy my own skates and go all the time. It's good exercise, lot's of cardio but fun! I got all sweaty! I couldn't stop skating.

Old-school roller-ama boasts bowling, beer and groovy tunes.. The View
This cavernous recreation complex may not have the smoothest rink in town, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a more fun, friendly place for strapping on a pair of skates. Staffers are like family and the clientele generally hails from nearby neighborhoods.

The Experience
A large rink with a center chill-out zone is the main attraction, luring even skating neophytes to its slippery surface. Take a break from rolling at the snack bar or the video-game area. Venture upstairs (sans skates) for dinner and drinks, or a round of bowling. DJ Riley spins on Space Is the Place nights, featuring classic '70s funk, disco and an occasional live performance by potty-mouth rapper Blowfly.

User review by robinsonf. The rink is an excellent place to take children on Saturday morning for lessons and then for them to skate afterwards. It's a safe place to keep them off the street to have fun. Parents are able to either skate with their children or sit and watch them skate.

Disappointment. I went here with a group of friends, and we were pretty sketched out by the location and the parking lot. The place is kinda run down and ladies do not get in for free between 8 and 9 anymore. I don't know why it's 21 and over on Tuesday nights, because there is no bar and the concession stand wasn't open either. This is next to, not connected with the bowling alley, and there are no in-and-out privileges at the rink, so once you're there, you're stuck, and if you wanted to bowl, you'd have to pay $8 to get into rink again. Overall, a pretty big disappointment.

Rollerdisco Electro Funk Extravaganza!!. This place is party girl/party boy paradise! A roller ring & arcade on the first floor; bar and bowling alley on the second. Every 4th Saturday is a sparkly discoball world. DJs Rodi & Dennis (Good Foot!) and Riley More (Shout!) play bluenote, funk and rare grooves while folks get tipsy & rollerskate. Its sooo 1977. You gotta love it. ;)
