The View – This cavernous recreation complex may not have the smoothest rink in town, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a more fun, friendly place for strapping on a pair of skates. Staffers are like family and the clientele generally hails from nearby neighborhoods. – – The Experience – A large rink with a center chill-out zone is the main attraction, luring even skating neophytes to its slippery surface. Take a break from rolling at the snack bar or the video-game area. Venture upstairs (sans skates) for dinner and drinks, or a round of bowling. DJ Riley spins on…

Top Spot in LA

by svetaleta

I loved this place for its staff' bohnomie, the size and features of the rink, itself, and the freaking-amazing moves of the other skaters.

Top feature to recommend the rink: it's larger than the one in glendale, AND it has a little "baby-rink" in the center. The baby rink sheltered some youngsters completely new to skating, but it also gave me -- a 20-something hipster-fledgling -- safe space to perfect some basic but tricky moves. It was just large enough to practice skating and turning, and trying to start skating backwards.

It wasn't very crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Plus, there were some regulars who were AMAZING. Grooving as they whizzed around the rink's perimeter.

All in all, overlook the slightly dilapidated cubbies, and come on out!!

This place was awesome

by Magsy

This place was awesome. It was just like when you were a kid. The people that worked there were very friendly. The music was good and the regulars were real nice. I had so much fun! I would definitely go again. Who knows maybe I'll buy my own skates and go all the time. It's good exercise, lot's of cardio but fun! I got all sweaty! I couldn't stop skating.
