Yes, the sandwiches are the stars here, but they also carry fresh artisan baguettes from Bread Los Angeles and a wonderful triple cream cheese from Cowgirl Creamery.
Get all your gourmet fixings for a day of picnicking. Cheese, meats, and they will also make you a sandwich.
My favorite is the salami and prosciutto on baguette. Quick simple sandwich from a fresh deli!
While it is called Larchmont wine I have never actually come here for wine. Instead it is the well priced, no frills sandwiches that keep me coming back. Simple and delicious they make for the perfect lunch.
Yes, there is a decent wine and liquor selection, but the real draw is the beautifully crafted deli sandwiches in caprese, tuna, prosciutto and more.
Sandwich Counter - Best in Town – This place is great for many reasons. The first is the wine shop. The owner can help you out with anything. Give him price, taste or even the items you happen to be cooking with and he hits every time. But... more importantly, you have to go for the sandwiches. The turkey sandwich is unbeatable and the caprese is a great veggie option. Snag a bag of chips and some olives from the check out register, and you'll come back a thousand times. You just may have to wait 20 minutes to get in and out.
Great local spot with the best sandwiches. Celebrities like to occasionally stop in too
Sandwich from Heaven – I can't write this without desperately craving a sandwich from this place. It is that good. It is the best sandwich in LA if you ask me. Sorry Bay Cities, I love you too. But damn. This is amazing. I always order the same thing. A #3: soppressata salami with manchego cheese, mixed greens, sundried tomato spread, extra virgin olive oil & balsamic vinegar. It is literally perfect: the bread is a dream come true, the salami is a joke, the cheese is light and mild, the lettuce is fresh and crispy and the combination of their ridiculous sundried tomato spread, olive oil and balsamic is heaven in between two pieces of bread. If you live in LA and have never been here, shame on you. But the bright side is you have the best sandwich of your life to look forward to. Go there immediately, get a bottle of wine and two plastic cups (they have them at the front), and sit outside and enjoy perfection in the California sun. Sandwich from heaven, indisputably.
Larchmont's cozy, upscale boutique wine store is the definition of a neighborhood shop. – In Short
The store is small, select and highly service oriented. The loyal and open-minded clientele return because the staff gets to know their tastes and palates. The selection of unique liquors is tops--single malts, tasty grappas, elegant Precis vodka or rare chestnut liquor. Among the most eye-catching finds is the Porfido anejo tequila. Match your wine with European and artisan cheeses and find perfect gifts for the home, like black truffle oil.
