Great, fresh sushi, quaint little place

Hollywood Sushi is a great little spot. It is on a not so pretty block of hollywood, a few blocks east of Western, and from outside seems a little like a dive.......but go inside - the sushi is amazing, the prices are CHEAP, and the service is very courteous.

There are 7 or 8 tables in the whole place, so it is a quiet, cozy little spot, and one friday night was a cute surprise when the Japanese version of Peter, Paul, and Mary set up a speaker and their instruments and started singing for the 6 patrons that were there.

Very cute, very good food.

Cheapest Sushi in LA & GOOD TOO!

Forget Todai's All-You-Can-Eat CRAP for $25 per person!!!! Fill up at Hollywood Sushi for about $10-$15. All Sushi's and rolls are $2.50 (different portion sizes depending on the dish). Spicy crab rolls (8 pieces for $2.50) are good as well as the Sweet Eel Roll (6 pieces for $2.50). Specialty rolls are available for $9.90 (Dragon roll, Spider Roll, etc) but come in sizes of 10-12 pices and usually include a topper (The Dragon roll is a California roll topped with a WHOLE EEL, and then decorated to resemble a dragon). Yummy. There is a back parking lot accessible off of Western, but it's kinda hard to notice.
