In Short
The candlelit main room and sushi bar feel more like a gallery than traditional dining area. The artsy ambience extends through a maze of side rooms, including the Style Lounge, where bands and multimedia performers offer live entertainment on weekends. The kitchen serves Japanese favorites with a California twist, like the fusion bowl, a sizzling dish of rice and vegetables topped with beef, seafood or tofu. Specialty rolls, tempura, soups and salads round out the menu.

I went to Zip Fusion for a business lunch and the place, food and service was so good that business quickly turned into pure fun! Zip is an upbeat place with great food and the service was perfect. I would recommend it to anyone who is in the downtown area. I have even pledged to make it a point to take my wife back for dinner one evening this summer.

The only thing I've ever had here is the Salmon Bento Box at lunch, it is incredibly filling, and about as good as any other bento box you get at lunch. For $11 you get rice, salad, 4 pieces of tempura, sashimi or gyozas, 2 pieces of roll, and a huge piece of salmon. yum! sit on the patio, it's WAY better than the inside.

The seaweed salad is light, crunchy, and a savory mix of ingredients that you don't stop enjoying until you swallow. The lobster roll is huge and very yummy with scallions and served on top of a CA roll. Spicy tuna can unclog any sinus! The staff is friendly and they remember you. We have been going about 3-5 times a month and every time we go they bring out a new complimentary appetizer and dessert. It has a lovely patio where you can dine and feel private and relaxed. This is a hidden gem!
