very good food, great view, favorite romance spot, very cold february, good ambiance, beautiful eurotrash, decent hangout

Deck by the beach is even great in wintertime with heaters. Good piña coladas. Fun for children to look for dolphins.
cozy here.
nice atmosphere here; gets a bit chilly so I took a sweater with me. nice place to hang out and have a great italian food. Dj was great and great sound of ocean waves in the background.
5 stars
Citysearch Editorial Review. The sister lounge to Moonshadows restaurant offers a pseudo-party atmosphere for guests whose plates of Dungeness crab ravioli and steamed clams make them want to take a spin on the dance floor before calling it a night … or afternoon. On summer weekends, this Malibu hot spot is where locals and LA beachgoers mix and mingle on the outdoor terrace while a DJ pumps out electronica and house music. As day turns into night, singles and couples alike sip on cocktails, watch the sun set along the shore and head into the blue-lit lounge to continue the party.
Beautiful Location. Possibly my favorite romance spot. Hangs off a cliff. From the tables you see nothing but ocean. Even waiting for the table was pleasant. You can have drinks on an outside area. It's a slim patio with a counter and some chairs. Not sure if it's just where it's situated on the building, but whatever the reason, I was thrilled that I wasn't freezing out there. We went for Valentine's day and February can be very cold, especially by the water. I could've sat there all night. They have lights so you can see the water splash against the rocks beneath you. The seating inside is elevated in a way that you have a great view from anywhere in the restaurant through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The food was good. I had the crab ravioli. i remember liking what my husband had better. Can't remember what he had though. Sorry. The only drawback was parking. It was valet only and the area seemed so squished between PCH and the cliff that it worried me a bit.
amazing. i m actually surprised why there is no review.. it s like meditarenean atmosphere, you see places like that in spain, france, turkey , greece.. great time always, very good food , casual...
Editorial Review. Sapphire blue-lit lounge housed in Malibu's oceanfront seafood mecca Moonshadows; featured DJs and theme nights Thursday through Sunday evenings.
