Tips for Coral Tree Cafe

Let's Do Lunch. Coral Tree is one of the great lunch hangout restaurants in Los Angeles. It gets kind of crowded on weekends, but it's not entirely impossible to get a table due to the huge space. If you can, find a seat outside during the week and use their free wi-fi to get some work done.

Citysearch Editorial Review. Named after the trees lining San Vicente Boulevard, this roomy, high-ceilinged cafe is where local families and nearby UCLA students head for breakfast favorites like house-made muffins and freshly squeezed orange juice, lunch staples such as soups, salads and "famous" panini, and twists on dinner classics like a turkey meatloaf sandwich. Place your order at the counter and take a seat in or outside by the firepit, and the staff will bring your food to your table. Although the menu is extensive, breakfast is the real specialty. There's focaccia packed with fluffy scrambled eggs, mozzarella, pancetta and roasted red peppers; a burrito packed with cheddar cheese, eggs and black beans; and Challah French toast stuffed with cream cheese and strawberry preserves.

Needs to get their act together. Went there for brunch. Terrible..ran out of OJ, potatoes, etc.So ordred just to try the place, no lie..50 mins later our food came out..We had to go ask 3 times what's going on..Never once saw a manager! We tried to enjoy but so many tables were complaining it was embarrassing to hear ,so we left. This is where the old saying applies..location, location, location. Can't believe they are even nominated in the rest catagory???

Love this place. Breakfast costs as much as dinner pretty much which is a bit strange, but this place is just great... for either breakfast or a casual dinner with some wine.

Perfect brunch place. I'm a regular visitor at Coral Tree and I've never been dissappointed, be it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast/brunch is especially is great: I love the fresh-squeezed orange juice with a breakfast panini or syrup-topped french toast. Though parking can be a hassle with the valet, even when it's busy here I have never had to wait long for food. The bright interior really opens up the restaurant so it doesn't feel crowded, and with a big group it's fun to eat around the outdoor fireplaces.

Love it.......... I love Coral Tree. As a struggling grad student, im trying to live a champagne lifestyle on a boxed wine budget. However, Coral Tree is in a class of its own as the prices are not outrageous, the food is really good (Paninis, Mac n Cheese and their Orchard Salad are my favs), the coffee is always perfect and I never walk out feeling like I wasted my money or my time. It is a nice escape where I can sit and relax with friends or even bring my laptop to do work. I love it and it's location makes it even more appealing. The one thing I havent tried yet are their deserts, but they always look good. Maybe next time.......

Free WIFI and the most amazing salads in Los Angeles. Nothing makes me happier than free WiFi, great coffee, and juicy fresh salads. This place has got them all. The Orchard salad is my fav! I add avacado of course and the staff is always happy to oblige. I'm also pretty excited about their crab cakes...

Are they kidding?. If it weren't for the completely average food, lackluster ambience, truly awful desserts, and even worse service, this place has the makings of a nice neighborhood spot. Only bright spot -- good coffee.

Incredible organic food -- this place is one reason I love L.A.!. A true L.A. gem. Wonderful, organic food that makes your stomach happy, and a great, relaxed athmosphere with outdoor and indoor dining.

The steak salad is incredible, and the blended drinks are worth trying, too. Unlike Urth Caffe, another great place, Coral Tree Cafe serves wine and beer, which is a nice touch.

This is the kind of place that makes me glad to live in L.A.!

Cute cafe, good for studying. Coral Tree has some good food, but its also a really good place to study. There is FREE wireless, so you can take your laptop and any work you have to do, and spread out at one of their long wood tables inside. There is a huge selection of tea and coffee drinks that are all organic and taste absolutely delicious. The downside is that, in typical LA fashion, there is barely any parking.
