Not what is used to be..
Chile Verde use to be a great place for quick, affordable mexican food, but now its just awful. I have been going to Chile Verde's Rest for years every since I saw the first one in Carson. The service is starting to get horrible with simple orders being wrong and employees caring more about flirting with girls working there and customers. I went to the El Segundo location around 10:30am and ordered the combination plate with 2 hard shell taco's and rice & beans. The beans where awful (they never were that great in my opinion) the rice taste like it was frozen and microwaved. Even the chile's in the salsa bar were old along with the old burnt chips i received. This is to be one of my fav dishes to order there but the tacos themselves were covered in oil and the shredded beef is not what it use to be. Now when I take one bite all the meet comes out, its not cool. I seem to get better food with the location on Fig in Carson as well as the one on 120th and Crenshaw. For anyone wanting a quick lunch thats works at Boeing, Raytheon, Matel, etc I highly suggest going to La Paz on central. Its great service and fresh food far out beats that of Chile Verde El Segundo.

Good Bean & Cheese Burrito!.
I like Chile Verde's Bean & Cheese burrito. There salsa is great as well. I will admit the cheese some times leaves adds a little grease to the burrito, but overall I have had a great experience with Chile Verde in El Segundo and the one in the Hawthorne/Gardena area. They are expensive as well.

Greasy and not much flavor..
We found everything we ordered to be below average. The three entrees we shared all had the same sauce, with little difference between them. The rice and beans were boring, and their salsa didn't seem to help. We will no go back.
