DO NOT EAT HERE! – The food was not that good at all. It was not very clean and the crab leg tray was always empty. I was there for an hour before they put more crab legs in it again. I was also very dissatisfied with the service. The servers almost ask you to be sure to leave a tip before you even get the bill and they look at the tip you put on the credit card right in front of you. As if the service deserved a tip because not only are they rude but it is a buffet, you serve yourself!!! To top it off I felt sick at the stomach when I left. Would never go back.
Horrible customer service – Having previously lived in Torrance, we have been to this restaurant multiple times. The food is good and the service has ranged from poor to great. A young lady named Dai Wei was wonderful; extremely personable. We made a special trip there last week, from Fresno. We will never return. The food was about the same. The service was worse than ever. Because (1) we met a friend there and (2) we were trying to wait out the rush hour freeway traffic before heading back home, we admittedly were seated for 3 1/2 hours. However, at no time was the restaurant so full that anyone was waiting for an empty table, nor did we require any special treatment or multiple servers. I had to ask twice for water refills. The server had the personality of a rock. The only time he smiled was when he brought the check.
If the service was anywhere near satisfactory or the server anywhere near pleasant, we would have left a tip. We tip for service. We tipped Dai Wei at 25%. Poor service, no tip. As we left, a gentleman I would assume is a manager, made a mumbled comment "sat there for 4 hours and no tip" and I can only guess, to shame us into running back in and leaving a tip (?), stood at the window and pointed at our car.
Want decent food? Go to the Grand China Buffet. Want even halfway decent service? Find out where Dai Wei is now working and go there.
for Seafood and massive eaters. – Ok, I have been to this place since it first open 3 or 4 years ago. It pretty much a Seafood Buffet fest. You get your HOT steamed Alaskan Crab Legs, shrimps, duck, chow mein, fried rice, french fries, salad, pizza, duck, a few steam fishes. Depending on the season, you will get oysters, fried salted crab, or jumbo steamed shrimp. They have a little sushi area also. The place is not clean, but you should expect that from a chinese restaurant. The quality in the food is above average. Not recommended for NON-Buffet eaters.
Extra crunchy noodles – Waiters with filthy habits, that don't include handwashing. I thought rudeness was associated with good Chinese food, but not at this establishment. Almost mediocre food with an extra bug protein crunch in the noodles that my neighbor ordered. A disgusting end to an otherwise unsatisfying experience. It's great if you're trying to lose weight and you need help, otherwise, steer clear.
