Great Inexpensive, Clean in San Gabriel/Alhambra. The best value in LA for my money. Owned by a nice Chinese family who run a tight ship, the rooms are spotless, the beds comfotable and expensive- feeling, and you could eat off the barhroom floors. Attention vegetarians: the highest-rated veg restaurant on Yelp, Veggie Life, is less than half-mile down Garvey. Foodies: the top Chinese, Vietnamese, and Mexican (Babita) restaurants are all minutes away. I have stayed here many nights and seen no evidence of crime on the immediate area. Close to the 10 freeway, bit not too close to pose breathing issues (which I have). Also they have upgraded their WiFi recently - works great! Best value I've found in San Gabriel Valley, and I spend A LOT of time here when I'm in LA. I'm convinced they have the same exact mattress that the Palazzo in Vegas uses. I asked the owner about it, and he said he had spent big money on the mattresses because cheap ones were "junk, throw out in two months!" Great family who owns it, great, safe place to stay.
