great prices, never recommend place, nice people, worst nails, pretty decent service, always good tanning, excellent tipper
Terrible with old bulbs and bad service. ew, fat man at the counter with bad service. The place smells and dirt everywhere.Old beds with old bulbs that don't tan me at all. I will not be back.
a mean messy mess.
my mother in law got a fungus here. she had her toe nail removed to heal the toenail and get rid of the fungus.
they use their own fingere nails to push back cuticle. a bad habit dirty shops start developing when money becomes a priority. they stop caring about customers. they forget the no no's they were supposed to learn in beauty school.
i dont think they have a break room. or break corner like most shops. so when the workers are on break they use empty salon chairs to watch movies, chew gum loudly, eat loudly, talk loudly and then so much for your relaxing half assed nail job. now you have to hear them and smell the food while trying to enjoy your extra massage for extra moolah. thats only if youre lucky. sometimes if you walk in and the ladies are lounging about they will make you wait and you have to sit there until they are done making noises while they eat.
everything is extra. you cant relax because they keep pushing services on your for extra money. and if you ask them about something you want they are always againgst it. uv gel. no no dont do that.......acrylic.....no no bad for your nails......in the mean time there are about 2 or 3 girls getting acrylics at the same time.......bad bad
as another review mentioned a dude does break out in song when he feels like it.
WORST NAILS SALON. I went to get a pedicure here and this experience caoused me a ingrown toenail. I would never advise ANYONE to come here... HORRIBLE
WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. THE MAN MANICURIST IS A THEIF AND LIAR. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION WHEN HE TAKES OFF UR JEWELRY. IT MIGHT END UP IN HIS POCKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WISH I COULD RATE THIS PLACE BELOW A ZERO!
90% Great Place.
I have been getting my nails done all over the WestSide for years now. Nailspa Excel has a lot of workers and their all really good and nice. The products areof good quality, my nails don't chip or peel. My nails grow really fast, but the acrylic's last a long time at least 2 weeks depending on the style.
Parking is really busy because of Bally's. Overland and Venice is really streets.
WORST EVER. I would never recommend this place. Not only do I agree with all of the reviews here, I recently had an infection in my nail due to the unsanitary instruments here. As I was getting my manicure, the male manicurist preceded to take his OWN LONG THUMB NAIL to push back my cuticles. I was disgusted and asked him to please use the tools. He then rushed through the rest of my manicure, and three days later I had a swollen, throbbing infected finger. DO NOT GO HERE EVER.
The worst. "Just a manicure please." I was assigned a male whose hands smelled of smoke. Glancing around I noticed young manicurists lounging in the back sprawled on empty spa chairs eating food and sucking on lollipops. Conversation was loud, without any consideration to the clients. (Actually there was just another woman besides me.) I should have left when I could. My guy proceeds to remove my polish. Using a squeeze bottle, he dribbles the acetone over my nails and wipes them with the now wet towel. He takes a nail file and hits it against the side of the table and proceeds to file. I looked for dents in the file as he hits it several more times while filing. He then sloshes my hands and arms with warm lotion and covers them with a warm, moist towel. I ask if he uses oil and water and he laughs. He tells me that they use hot oil to soften the cuticle. Hot oil? My hands were covered in lotion. Next came the cuticle instrument which he cleans by holding it over the floor while dripping acetone. I wondered if someone was going to mop. He drips more acetone on the floor as he cleans the cuticle cutter. He does a decent job of cutting my cuticles. As I pay the $13 + $2 tip I realize I'm paying too much for this. He applies the polish twice, using extremely thick globs. Finally, my guy turns on the fan, which doesn't work, and then escorts me to the drying table. I wanted to hightail it out of there but it took forever for my nails to dry. "I've got to write my very first review," I thought as I left.
FAST Service, Great Prices, Good Work.
This is a great place for fast and well done pedicures and acrylic nails. They did my full set and pedicure in 40 minutes, and they lasted me almost 3 weeks.
For pedicures, any of the girls are good. For nails, see Calvin for weekday evenings, and Brandon on weekends. They do good work - thin, natural looking nails that don't look like "Chiclets Gum".
rush job that doesn't last.
I went twice, just to make sure I didn't catch them on a bad day. Still, won't go back for a 3rd. They rush you, and everything is "extra." I thought a callous scrub was part of a pedicure, there it is $8 extra?!
They talk to each other, not you. This is anything but a spa. I didn't feel relaxed and to top it off the polish got "gummy" and chipped away in only a few days.
Rushes too fast, loud, pushes extra services. Go to another nail salon. The employees rush through the job and talk amongst each other, and waaay too loud. At one point, one of the guys even started singing out loud! I went in the evening and it was only 7:30, and even though their sign said they close at 9, they rudely turned away this other lady, saying that they're all tired and that no one wanted to do a manicure/pedicure. They definitely push their extra services on you, and don't really look at what they're doing, often looking at something else as they're filing or scrubbing. They definitely just go through the motions here. Don't be fooled by the light and airy extrerior of this spa; it is not all that.
