super nice, welcoming, fun and easy to learn

i was a student of this school for 3 weeks. now here's what i've got to tell. i'm a person who never drove before, and was all shaking when i got into the driver's seat on my first lesson. the instructor had an amazing sense of humor and was able to calm me down in a moment. thirty minutes later I WAS DRIVING! i had to take like 6-7 more driving lessons to feel that i'm ready for the test at DMV. throughout all the sessions i took, the instructor picked me up on time from different locations and dropped me off right where I asked him and was always very receptive, respective and patient with me, explaining same things and maneuvers hundreds of times until i finally got it. not a single moment i felt unsafe driving the car with the teacher. all i have to say -- they DO know what they do and they do it in a great way. i would definitely recommend this school.

unprofessional, poor customer service, not safe

I'm not actually a student of this driving school, but I had a terrible experience with the people from that school that made me doubt how professional they are and their level of commitment to safety. Today, while driving, one of their instructors had his student pull up to my passenger side and honk. The instructor proceeded to flip me off and to use foul language. Then they moved up and when the light changed, they aggressively pushed their way into my lane (it was a game of chicken, whoever worries about getting his/her car damaged and backs off first). I was in the lane to go straight, they were in the lane for right turns only (we were going west on Santa Monica Blvd, the cross street was Lincoln). I called the number on the car for the driving school (Bev Hills branch) to report the instructor for teaching his student to drive recklessly and for being rude for no apparent reason. If they had honked and he had gestured to ask to be let in, I definitely would have. When I spoke with the woman who answered the phone, she asked me to hold and called the man (older white Nissan Sentra, CSUN license plate frame) and told him that I was reporting him. He lied and told her that I was cutting into their lane and almost ran into them. She then told me what he said and when I tried to explain what happened, she hung up on me. While L.A. drivers are aggressive, what he taught his student today would get her flunked if she pulled a stunt like that while taking her exam. Also, he and the rep were rude, unprofessional, and just plain nasty. He lied and the rep did not even bother to hear both sides of the story so if the instructor were to lie about other things (such as the number of lessons given, the time spent per lesson, payment received, etc), the company will side with him more likely than not. Overall, I would not use them and would not want any of my younger cousins to use a school like this one. There are better driving schools out there who are more trustworthy.
