Hotels >The Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey Hotels
incredible ocean view rooms, beautiful place, beautiful view, incredible grounds, great marina views, fantastic service, great frontal garden
Don't get me wrong. This is a very nice hotel. But... I got a horribly noisy room and I was happy to check out the next day. So much for relaxing.
Over Promise & Under Deliver For your Special Occassion!. My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Ritz in Marina Del Rey in September of 2007 and the process was anything but exceptional, it was actually pretty mediocre. We had been set up originally with a coordinator that stood us up, and then were set up to partner up with the manager, who at the end of the day did pretty much nothing. I thought that when you paid the type of money we did that we would be amazed with how well they handled our special day, instead I made countless phone calls to even get a call back. We reserved a block of rooms and the phone number that our guests were instructed to call was the gift shop! Needless to say, this was upsetting to us and our guests. On the day of our wedding our honeymoon suite was a disaster, dirty dishes from the morning were left there, it smelled like BBQ sauce from the chicken tenders my bridesmaids had five hours prior, overall the room wasn't picked up! My husband was overcharged money and he left 2 messages to get this resolved and he's yet to get a call back after one month and now his AMEX is having to deal with the dispute. We think the place is beautiful but we would never rate them high on customer service...I don't think we'll ever recommend them or stay at another Ritz Carlton again!!!!
beautiful wedding site. I just went to a wedding that was held here this past weekend and simply knowing that it was going to be at the ?Ritz? I knew it was going to be nothing less than extravagant. The ceremony was held outdoors overlooking a beautiful view of the ocean. The pre-reception lounging area was absolutely gorgeous and chic with its modern white furniture decorated tastefully with pink flowers. The reception room was breathtaking and the dinner was exquisite (both filet mignon and lobster tail)!
Airport close but quiet and luxurious. Just a short cab ride to the airport the Ritz-Carlton is a tremendous hotel with beautiful rooms, great marina views and first rate employees who are determined to make your stay enjoyable. As a 'road warrior' who travels frequently for business I always look forward to staying in Marina Del Rey at the Ritz.
The treatments befit a swanky, five-star hotel, but the digs aren't quite as divine..
Located in the depths of the Ritz-Carlton, this tiny spa feels more like an afterthought to the hotel gym. With no apparent waiting area, guests checking in for appointments find sweaty bodies on treadmills the initial backdrop. A friendly staff ushers patrons in to a well-equipped changing room (shared by gymgoers) with plenty of lockers, blue carpeting and a few scattered towels. The treatment rooms are small and clean, but unfortunately situated adjacent to the men's and women's locker rooms, which means distracting noise occasionally interrupts soothing music.
The spa offers a wide array of holistic skin care and massages. First-time spagoers will enjoy the Introductory Facial, while those who want more can opt for the Pro-Collagen III Intensive Facial or the exfoliating Hot Power Peel. Skilled technicians check if special body areas need attention, then give heavenly massages. Options like body cocoons and scrubs round out the excellent selection.
Dry sauna, fitness equipment. Massage, body treatments, wet treatments, Reiki, facials, medi-spa treatments, manicure/pedicure.
Dreamy. I stayed here when my fiance and I went to LA for business. I am young and very unglamorous, but the staff treated me so well! The pool area is big and beautiful, and the view was nice. If I had the money, I would stay here again and again.
