What People Are Saying About Tea Station

In Short – Taiwanese pop videos provide the soundtrack for the young and stylish to get their bubble tea fix, and a library of Chinese-translated mangas are the perfect cover to scope out the opposite sex. Behind the counter, tea jerks shake the frothy concoctions in a cocktail shaker. Usually served cool, it is a creamy sweet mixture of green or black tea, condensed milk and tapioca balls. They also serves snacks like garlic buttered toast and tea-flavored dumplings. – –

Editor's Tips

What to Drink:
A healthier alternative to coffee, the tapioca in bubble tea is made from all-natural ingredients, has less caffeine, and also lowers health risks.

Best boba in town...but

by 35 cent

One of the best boba joints in town price wise and quality but the people who work there are dumb and rude. Customer service sucks, the new Tea Station in city of industry on Gale is way better.

Great place for a cool tea

by yaaarg

From the moment you walk in, some degree of authenticity is confirmed by the mixed chatter of Mandarin Chinese and English. Cool decor of sandblasted glass and plants give it the sleek look of a chain, which I've found out recently that it is. Next door in a connected shop sits a more traditional Chinese tea shop with it's selection of pots and bagged and loose-leafed teas. Sitting at the tables are mostly young people, although the occasional older patron or group will stop by.

The menu is a collection of teasflavored, unflavored, hot, cold, boba, traditionalsure to suit the palate. However, their strength seems to be the tea equivalent of the coffee shop mocha-frapa-choco-drinks with whipped cream on top. They also offer sweet snacks to go along with the tea.

But beware: if you order your drink to go but change your mind and stick around, they'll ask you to leave. Prices for to go drinks are different than if you're drinking there. So make that decision early.

Try one of the Chinese restaurants nearby (I'd suggest Tung Lai Shun just across the street next to the Hello-Kitty-themed store) and then wind down with a tea and grab some of the great loose-leaf tea before heading out.

  • Pros: good variety in tea selection
  • Cons: it's not pricey, but it's not cheap either

MY FAV BOBA PLACE

by azenmikko

The boba coffee here is very good. It is VERY sweet. I usually get the Coffee/MilkTea Boba. Their peanut butter or strawberry breads are really good as well.

The place itself is big, cozy and great for big groups.

The only bad thing is they are OVER-PRICED! In LA, I can get boba for $3 max...tea station, to eat in, is about $5. If you decide to take your drink to go, then you get 20% off. So I recommend going there, but after the first 5 times, it might be better to just get drinks on the go.

Parking lot is pretty small, but there is another big lot nearby.

  • Pros: great boba, good food
  • Cons: pricey
