This place was recommended and I am a pizza lover, so the stars were aligned, right? NOT!! This is a terrible place to eat and I urge you to avoid it. The service was very impersonal, and we had to wait quite a long time for our food.

That was the worst part – 50 minutes to wait for a pizza and Greek salad? I haven’t been that angry in a restaurant for many years. Two of us were finally up and roaming the restaurant, looking for our waiter and asking for our food. I went outside and walked around the block twice, so aggravating was the wait.

And the pizza, when it arrived, was not very good. All canned ingredients, and only a little white cheese. Very bland. I ate one piece and doggie bagged the rest, then tried it again at home (its hard not to like reheated next-day pizza!) and ended up throwing it out.

So they flunked on quality of service and quality of food, but worst was the long wait while people around us were seated after us, ordered and were eating their food while we sat there waiting.

This is my all time favorite place to get a Really good Rib-Eye Steak, Yes I said Steak!!! I've have been coming here for about 4 years, the staff is great, Ruben is just wonderful. Like I mentioned "early dinner specials" is the most ideal time to eat there they take their most asked entrees and give them a fat price cut, of course the portion is a little smaller , but not by much... While you wait for friends or the food , they serve piping hot garlic and onion rolls, remember not to over indulge they are very tasty, save room for the meal. Modest wine selection, yummy desserts. Great place to have parties too, spaciuos outside dining area, I had a birthday party there with 22 and what great times. cant wait to go back... weekends try to get there for brunch steak and eggs breakfast will get you well satisfied until dinner time!

Needs improvement !

I see that the last reviews were 4-5 years old and with everything-else, things change! So did this place! I went San Gabriel for some Business and thought a Pizza on the run would be great, stopped at Pizza Place CA and ordered a small veggie Pizza to go! Service was below average and the place needs some remodeling, but besides the visual & service I was looking forward to the Pizza! While waiting I started reading thru the menu and the line "We bake our own Bread" caught my eye, i thought that's gotta be great! Pizza came, I left! in the car of course i took a slice! The toppings were dull no taste and the Pizza dough tasted exactly like oven fresh Bread!!!! One thing about a Pizza, YOU CAN NOT USE THE SAME DOUGH AS BREAD! Did not like it! The price for a traditional small Pizza with tax almost $15.00 is waaay too much! Unfortunetly i can not recommend this place at all!

Pizza Place California not only offers a wide variety of Italian dishes and great signature pizzas, but also a gourmet asian menu which will please any group. Everything is presented beautifully with friendly service and prompt attention.

• Pros: Ample Parking, Outdoor Dining, Suitably priced.

I love going to this place.....love the pizza. The wait depends on when you go. I've gone when its packed and gone where there's barely any ppl.
