colon wrecker – awesome burritos, wet burritos, good value, delicious but everytime i eat it it wrecks my colon. i keep coming back though.
Great for Lunch – Not the best mexican food I've had but great for a quick meal at lunch time
Simple Mexican Fare – This is not a fancy Mexican Restaurant. This is a small family owned place. The food is very good.
Average Mex Food. – This place is not "Authenitc", if by that you mean traditional dishes, sure. Traditional burritos, enchiladas and stuff are served there. But to me, authentic is something that my best friend's grandma would spend all day making. Now that's authentic. Romero's use ingredients come strait from a can. The food here is average better than a 2 but not a 7. At least it's not taco bell.
Cheap and authentic – Had the chile relleno burrito and a coke for less than $5. The food was very good and the menu features many authentic dishes not found at most Americanized Mexican restaurants. The service was friendly but a little slow.
Not Like my Momma's cook'n! – Very good food. Not like my momma makes but it's a good place to go out to lunch to.
It's a Good – They food is really good tastes home made. the prices are decent it is a little place but those are usually the best
Hole in the wall good. – This place seems to be family run and has always been good everytime I have gone. Of course, I have only ever gotten the carnitas and the fish tacos there. Both are always good. Wash it down with some Horchata and it is a good overall experience at a local dive like joint. But, how does the waitress always seem to remember your order despite never writing anything down?
this place is garbage! – just because a place is a hole in the wall does not make it good! the food here is mediocre at best if not terrible at best. tastless beans, fatty chicken, greasy burritos, slower than molasses service...give me a break. a taco truck makes better food than this "hole in the wall." save your energy trying to find mexican food down in this area because you just won't find it. guelagetza is the only superior mexican joint around this area and it's not even fair to compare the two as they are different mexican cuisines. get it right, this place is not good.
Good but not the best – This place is good, but I have had better. Come on, this is LA, the competition for great Mexican food is tough! Some of the reviews here are a little hard on poor little Romeros. Give them a break, they are not nearly as bad as some of the places in LA. I would reccomend it if you're going to catch a show at the Wiltern and fell like having a little Mexican food before or afterward.
