Considered one of the original boba spots on the West Coast, this clean and inviting cafe has become synonymous with the popular Thai iced tea drink. Dark woods, earthen tones and recessed lighting create a warm atmosphere, while the broad selection of specialty drinks (milk tea, cappuccino, smoothies) keep the local patrons cool. Daily food specials are also available, including fare like popcorn chicken, fried squid balls and pork buns.

Volcano Tea is a boba tea house down on Sawtelle. It is convenient because it is open until about 1 or 2 in the morning, so if I am ever to get a late night craving for boba, I know where to go. I recommend the strawberry or green apple slush, and if you are in the craving for a creamier flavor, go for the honey jasmine green milk tea. Oh! and lastly, try their spicy fried chicken! get the mild, trust me, unless you want to be spitting fire. :)

This is a boba place located about 10 minutes from UCLA and has the typical array of boba tea drinks and snacks, including popcorn chicken. However, this place is set apart by offering smoothies on their menu. This location is open late and has interesting measures in store to ensure their sole employee/customer bathroom stays clean and well-kept.

The first thing you see when you go in, is their wall size menu. They have over 100 different types of drinks to choose from. I always get something new to drink so the fun never ends. They have all been very delicious.
