Editorial Review for Una Mae's – by Kim Cooper
In Short
When Karen Prendergast expanded her Chicago boutique, independent designers and fans of '70s-inspired style got a boost. The roomy storefront sports exposed beams, a comfy sofa and bookcases stocked with scented candles and blank journals. Vintage Granny dresses, Kenzie wedgies and sassy silver pocketbooks share space with metallic, psychedelic longsleeved Lure tees, Wrangler and Levi's Premium jeans, Y2K T-shirts, puffy Down Designs ski vests and eclectic jewelry from Jamie Rodriquez, Gentle Fawn and more.

meh. overpriced clothing. snotty workers. store doesn't really have a great selection at all. i don't know where these people are coming from who like this place. they don't have hardly any vintage at all and maybe like two small racks of overpriced dresses. couldn't find one thing for my boyfriend.
Pros: not much
Cons: no parking at all, slim selection, rude staff

Every month, I try save part of my paycheck to buy a cute outfit at this store. They always have something cool and unique looking. I appreciate the customer service -- friendly, but not pushy. For such a stylish boutique, the prices are really good, too. It's a really charming place to shop.
Pros: great clothes, new & vintage, nice staff
Cons: can't think of any
