In Short – Slipped inside the main floor lobby, the modest eatery shines in alternating shades of blues and greens, and overlooks an outdoor courtyard of mature banana trees under protruding balconies. Guests sit side-by-side along a tufted banquette opposite emerald-green Chippendale armchairs. The menu includes lunch-size salads, hot sandwiches and French-inspired dishes like moules frites and flat iron steak au poivre. A modest bar area serves hotel guests in transit and the occasional reality TV star.
Editor's Tips
- Parking:
- A secure lot underneath the hotel offers parking with a nightly fee.
- Know Before You Go:
- The swanky bar and restaurant is only open to hotel guests at the moment, but keep an eye out for the public opening date. This will likely become a see-and-be-seen hot spot.
- Know Before You Go:
- Although it may appear otherwise, the restaurant currently requires at least one member of your dining party be registered at the hotel.
- Parking:
- While parking appears to be available throughout the area, it's all tow-away residential zones that make valet the only option.
- Where to Sit:
- The outdoor patio offers a place for smokers to escape for a drink, or an entire meal, without worrying about city restrictions.

The worst hotel experience ever
by TamaraZdravkovic
I have never stayed in a hotel where I felt more neglected. The staff people are clearly not there to help (or, god forbid, to please) the guest. There was not a single thing that did not go wrong while we stayed there. Our camera got stolen from the valet with all our pictures of our engagement day - they didn't care. They said they were going to call us in the morning to try to solve the problem - the morning shift wasn't even informed of what happened. We went to hang out by the roof top pool and watch the sunset - the heating lamp was broken, they didn't care to repair it. It took them 45 minutes to bring two drinks. In the room, the blowdryer was broken, the lamp didn't work, bathroom was like from the last century. If you are willing to pay close to $300 for a good location, but don't mind to be robbed, lied to and trated like you don't matter because they already took your money - go ahead and stay there because this is the right place for you.

At it's KOR, not much to be proud of...
by stevensong
Ever notice that the same people that worked there a few months ago are no longer there? Ever wonder why the rooms look like this century but the bathrooms look like last millenium? Ever ask yourself why you're paying the same amount per night that you could be getting at a real luxury hotel (over a half a dozen due to complete renovation by year's end...check any of them out)? The answer is very simple. If you throw a few coats of paint and some glitter on a piece of garbage...at it's "core", it's still just that...
- Pros: N/a
- Cons: Just about everything there...
Cute, small, cosmopolitan
by marpop
Stayed here with friends over the summer and it's a really cute hotel ( a former Holiday Inn and before that i think it was an apt complex like so many other places in this area). The decor is urban chic and has a sort of masculine cosmopolitan edge with chocolate browns and turquoise and grey accents. The rooms are really small and the pool is even smaller! The pros is that the pool is on the rooftop (always fun) and the food we ordered poolside was great - loved the cheese/grapes/nuts appetizer -- but the pool was SO WARM it was like taking a bath! The folks who stay here are pretty sceney, so be prepared for eyes to be watching you.
- Pros: Decor, food
- Cons: Tiny pool that gets hot in summer
Great unknown spot
by Tara deLis
This is a very nice eatery. The food is good, imaginative and well executed. The small restaurant and patio are trendy in design but also non-pretentious. The chef can do amazing things with beer pairings. The downside? Hardly anybody ever gets to experience it because only hotel guests and their guests can eat here.
- Pros: great food, nice beer list, not pretentious
- Cons: only for hotel guests, parking
Awesome bed and room suite
by rubyredslippers
Stayed there April 30, 2007. Staff was very accommodating, and our room was huge. Great soaps/lotions in bathroom. Bed was supremely comfortable and way above usual hotel standards. Room service corrected our order quickly and pleasantly. Parking valet was, as noted, very friendly, and no desire was left unmet. Overall a great boutique hotel with excellent service, a gorgeous rooftop pool, and comfortable, friendly attitude.
- Pros: great bed, hip decor
- Cons: room service slightly off w/ order, but corrected it
