above usual hotel standards, comfortable friendly attitude, relatively good value, very nice eatery, decent amenities, excellent service, great unknown spot
Sleek boutique hotel in West Hollywood. If your parents ever visit from out of town, this is a nice, not-so-noisy hotel they'll enjoy.
Great unknown spot. This is a very nice eatery. The food is good, imaginative and well executed. The small restaurant and patio are trendy in design but also non-pretentious. The chef can do amazing things with beer pairings. The downside? Hardly anybody ever gets to experience it because only hotel guests and their guests can eat here.
Sister property of Avalon and Viceroy hotels features upscale casual bistro and cocktail bar exclusively for hotel guests and friends..
Slipped inside the main floor lobby, the modest eatery shines in alternating shades of blues and greens, and overlooks an outdoor courtyard of mature banana trees under protruding balconies. Guests sit side-by-side along a tufted banquette opposite emerald-green Chippendale armchairs. The menu includes lunch-size salads, hot sandwiches and French-inspired dishes like moules frites and flat iron steak au poivre. A modest bar area serves hotel guests in transit and the occasional reality TV star.
Chamberlain Works!. Smaller boutique place in WeHo with well-managed staff. The decor is mostly Liberace Chic without a certain vulgarity to it. The amenities are decent although the place with the olympic pool and arcade are east to Hollywood. Enjoyed staying there.
"my new favorite weho boutique ".
The hotel itself is very deceiving from the outside as it is perched on a residential hill. It is a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle located on the boulevard. Once inside I was surprised by the design as it is grasping, the staffs smiles are welcoming and the music is soothing. The staff knew me yet they maintained a very welcoming professionally demeanor. The bed was amazing, I felt bad for my wake-up caller as I continued to ask for five more minutes.
It is a beautiful hip hotel from the chic lobby, unique bistro, to the amazing panoramic view from the rooftop. The next morning I invited a friend to join me poolside within a cabana for breakfast. I would highly recommend ordering room service as it was quick and outstanding. Looking for a confidential escape, this is your place.
Hip Hidden Hideout. This place is owned by the ppl who own Viceroy & Avalon. I found thru a friend in LA who is up the street from this place & suggested it. The hotel is hip + cool, has great design but is not a "scene". If you want to be in West Hollywood but not deal with drama or attitude, then I highly recommend this place. Rooms are HUGE, beds are super comfortable, fireplace in my room, rooftop pool is very chic and has views of the city. The hotel's restaurant was not busy so I did not try it until my 2nd night but was hooked ... the breakfast menu is one of the best I've tried in a hotel! Staff in there was very friendly. They have a small plates menu and a Chef who knows everythign about specialty craft beers. Really a true find !!!
Sunset Strip-adjacent boutique hotel offers upscale amenities to business and leisure travelers..
The latest L.A. venture from the Kor Hotel Group (Viceroy, Avalon) features a chic color scheme of light greens, icy blues and grays. Standard guest rooms offer gas fireplaces and balconies, large beds with 200-thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, and a host of electronic goodies like 20-inch flat-screen TVs and DVD/VCR/CD players. Sweeping city vistas draw patrons to the rooftop pool and the banana palm-shaded patio of the onsite American bar and bistro.
Stayed for several nights in 2002. Very juetlagged after long trip - at 2:30am found that the walls were thin when the girls in the adjacent room came back from a club......
For the next two nights the new guest held conference calls at 5:00am, he might as well have been in the living room.
Aside from this bad luck the hotel staff were very helpful and the place is relatively good value, with good sized, if a little basic, suites
