love place, great little salon, great staff, great kim, great keitaro, fabulous haircut, snooty salon attitude
Edward is definitely the best..
It's so hard to find a good hair stylist and once I have, they usually move. I had heard about Edward from friends who have been going to him for years. It was one of those times I was expecting the best... to my surprise, this time it paid off!!! Everything form the color, to the cut, the attitude, the charm and some of the best conversation I've ever had, and yes to me my hair stylist is like my psychologist, this guy is the complete package.
The Salon staff was also extremely cordial and made me feel welcome. I highly recommend it.
Ask for Nick!. After recently moving to LA I was looking for a stylist that I could trust with my hair for cuts, color, & styling. After trying out 3 other salons I went to B2V, and I will not be going anywhere else. B2V has many great stylists, but I personally go to Nick. Nick does a fantastic job and takes his time to ensure that you leave with the exact cut and color that you're looking for! If you bring in a picture, he can get the style spot on! Go in for a cut, color, or blow dry. You wont be disappointed.
Why I love B2V.
Trying to get a great hair cut in LA has been a challenge. I have tried a wide variety of salons, including some of the biggest names around. Since I have frizzy, wavyish, thick hair that’s frankly not easy to make look good, it has been frustrating to get good cuts that I can duplicate at home.
Recently, my colorist suggested I meet Steve Lococo. That meeting has changed my life! Steve, co-owner of B2V salon, is everything I’ve read about and so much more. He is talented, yet confidently humble; he listened to what I am looking for in a hairstyle, He asked questions, talked me through the cut and achieved just the right kind of style that I can actually manage it at home myself. Steve has great style of his own and is the best all around stylist I have found. The cut is so good that it can be no-maintenance or look great for a high-end event. I now have a sure source for a great haircut/style, but more importantly, I have found an authentic person who is a blessing to me and this industry. His salon is upscale cozy, unassuming, and feels welcoming from the moment I arrive. Valet parking, nice reception, refreshments great products, great service – he offers it all. This place is a treasure.
my new favorite colorist – John Lee. I lost my long-time colorist and have tried several salons to get color/highlights that seem natural. It just wasn’t happening. An acquaintance told me about her colorist, John Lee at B2V Salon. Arriving at my first appointment with him, my color was a mess of random color collection from previous mediocre experiences. I felt compelled to tell John what I wanted. He listened very patiently, offered a couple of suggestions, brought me color samples, talked me through the process, then proceeded to totally refresh my hair color to a better than brown, rich, dark look. Once I saw the outcome, I knew I'd never have to explain to him what needed to be done. He is a highly skilled professional with a great eye for color. His talent shows and I can finally say "I LOVE IT!" about my color. He has transformed my brittle hair to soft, shiny and a great, natural looking color. Also, my hair has the most healthy looking texture I've EVER had. I recommend John to everyone!
Adam is a Hair Color God. I am a news anchor who is on TV everyday - so I need to have perfect hair all of the time. Problem is, I have almost black hair that I color blond which was always turning slightly orange. So, when I heard Kim Vo was the "best blonder", I naturally made an appointment with him. I was REALLY disappointed!! I went back though (I know, you're asking yourself why I would go back after a crappy dye job!!) and I am so glad I did because I was scheduled with Adam and he is AMAZING!!!! I have been seeing him for 2 years now and my hair is so natural looking - so much so that when I went for laser hair removal, the technician said, "Natural blonds don't always have the best luck with laser hair treatments." There is a down side to B2V though - although, the salon did get a little remodel, it is still a little dirty. ... especially the closet sized bathrooms. But, Adam is worth it. If you have ever had problems with your dark hair turning brassy and orange when you're trying to go blond - just go to Adam and he'll make you look like you've always dreamed!!!!
Good with Ethnic Hair! If you are not use to spending money on yourself you may be in shock with price.. I was afraid to get my hair done here because I didn't know anyone who had ever gone there. After reading reviews I thought I would give it a try. I did have some sticker shock when I found out the price for the Japanese hair straightener but because I had an event comming up I forced myself to see the value in it. I think I was there 4 or 5 hours... I have a lot of hair. I think my stylist was named Vito. He was awesome. I hadn't eaten anything all day and I didnt want to buy myself lunch (my hair was expensive) and I think he felt bad for me or something cause he gave me half of his own sandwhich! The only bad thing that happend to me was that durring the consultation he told me they take Discover Card. After I went through the whole straightening process I went to pay my bill only to find that they do not take Discover and I didnt have another card on me! I had to take money out of the ATM on my credit card which is pretty bad intrest wise but at least MY HAIR LOOKS AMAZING!!
Disappointed. My first time at this salon. My hairdresser was in a hurry. Didn't even offer me water. Nor, did he ask me about the conditioning treatment. I was out of there with haircut and blowdry in 30 minutes. Did not receive the personalized service i was expecting.
Amazing Attitude, Amazing Hair, Warm environment, not too expensive. I have been so happy since I was referred to B2V for my hair. I finally feel like I have found the kind of salon i have always looked for in L.A. I just had my wedding and flew Vito out to do my hair on the east coast! he is that GREAT!!! What a wonderful person, extremely talented stylist, and so down to earth and fun to talk to. I have had a fabulous time every time I have ben there this year (and getting ready for a wedding meant almost every other week). Vito is the best, the customers always are friendly, and even though i don't know Kim Vo, he seems so sweet and warm and unassuming. It's great vibes and I would highly reccommend it to anyone.
A-list stars and style-conscious locals head to this cozy salon that pairs its famous blowouts with comfy lounge seating and complimentary caffeine fixes..
Considering its primo location and high-profile clients, you might expect a little attitude at this chic beauty spot. But step beyond its adorable cottage-like facade and you'll find vintage fabric-coated chairs, a small bowl of Belgian chocolates and ... people who are nice! Black-and-white photos of old Hollywood movie stars are perched along the walls, while paparazzi armed with cameras sit outside hoping to catch a glimpse of clients like Britney Spears and Eva Longoria. The team of stylists specialize in everything from master coloring to the latest cuts and hair treatments.
love this place!.
I have been getting my cut/color done at B2V for the last year and a half and LOVE it. Lisa really knows how to do an absolutely amazing blonde! I have naturally dark hair and have visited too many salons that have made me orang-y/brassy, but this place gets it right every time. Lisa has completely rehabbed my hair.
It's a calm, chill, salon without the airs of pretension common in other salons I have been to. Also here, I never feel rushed or hurried. The staff totally goes out of their way to make sure clients feel at home and comfortable. Everyone is super nice (no snooty salon attitude here), and the receptionist is just the sweetest.
It is a little pricey, but it is so worth it to leave looking and feeling fabulous
