I was looking for a reliable place for transmission work. Initially I took my Toyota corolla 5 speed, a noise would come and go, I thought it was clutch & wanted clutch replacement, they could do that; So Rick took it for a test drive and my car did not make any noise, after the test drive he told me he would have to hear the noise or I call him on the phone when it happens because he has to make sure it is clutch and or the transmission. No work was performed. Was good to hear honesty. A couple of months later when I was doing a regular oil change on my other Toyota automatic I noticed it had a leak from transmission so I took it to Rick; When I arrived he inspected my car and checked the transmission fluid level, and guess what? my car had no transmission oil by then, so they serviced my unit (not rebuilt=less money :-) and sealed it. Some weeks later I noticed a very small leak again. I took it back, Rick inspected it and noticed a leak from the speedometer cable, he told me he could not see previously because my unit had no oil so he took it back and did a great job. Highly recommend.

You are not going to be double talk here

I got my transmission done here 2 years ago on 2000 Honda Odessy. During the 7 years I had to change the transmission 3 times and it was covered by factory warranty. It was a lemon car. None the less the 4th one miller honda wanted to charge 3 grand and I took over to These guys and they did it for 2 grand and it works like magic. Thanks guys... I recommend you guys to anybody.

I read about Culver City Transmission Service on City Search and decided to see if the service was as good s the reviews. It is! Professional and Personal service. Rick took time to explain to me what the possible problems could be with my transmission and suggested trying the cheapest options first. So far so good. Then a colleague of his drove me to work while my transmission was serviced. I was able to pick my car up from the service station next door that evening. I admit I don't know much about cars, but I was treated with respect and I believe honesty.

• Pros: honest, personal service
• Cons: only services transmission. I wish they serviced all parts of the car

Place you can trust!!!

My mechanic suggested I dump my 85 Buick Century when I needed a new transmission. That wasn't an option for me. I love my car and can't see driving anything else. I found Culver City Transmission by doing lots of research online. I was most impressed with their AAA rating. This was the second time around getting a transmission for my car, the first time was by a different place in Gardena and they did a terrible job. Culver City Transmission rebuilt my transmission and it's been incredible now for 6 months. No trouble at all, switches gears correctly and has lots of power when accerlating!! I highly recommended Culver City Transmission!
