Tips for Outdoor Grill

Not up to expectations. I went to the Outdoor Grill on Friday, 12/31/2010 with an ad in hand. I wanted to try their angus burger. The picture looked tempting: lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sauce on a big bun for ONLY $3.75.

First, the person who took my order was not at all friendly. He acted like I was imposing on his valuable time when I asked him what was on the burger and appeared relieved when I was done ordering. Mind you, I only ordered the burger. The order was not complex. The total cost was $4.12 with tax. It was 1:33 p.m.

I waited ten minutes to get my order. Then, I got my burger and carried it out. I sat in my car and ate it. What a let down! Not juicy nor hot. No sign of sauce that I could taste. It was bland, to be kind. And it was salty, too.

Honestly, I can get a better burger at Carl's Jr. for a grilled taste and a juicy burger, or Wendy's for that matter. I definitely did not get good value at the Grill for my hard earned buck. The environment was decent, but who cares when the food is mediocre?

I say, "Try a little harder, Outdoor Grill. A good burger is not rocket science.

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. LA barbecue restaurant serves tri-tip, ribs, salmon and chicken flame-cooked on a charcoal grill with chili fries, salads and coleslaw.

Great BBQ in a casual atmospher. The Tri-tip is the best in the city, and the BBQ chicken sandwitch is just Awsome, but if you really want to try a unique treat have the BBQ Salomon or the Salomon Ceaser Salad.
