Cozy, British-themed shop and tearoom offers collectibles from England in a setting Beatrix Potter would adore..
The Scene
If you somehow missed the Union Jack out front, the prominent portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in the cozy seating area should make it clear: This shop is a bit of merry olde England brought across the pond. Set in a historic bungalow within a charming garden, it's a delightful respite from a busy world.
The Goods
In addition to a robust selection of teas, scones and other English foods, owners Mary and Edmund Fry have brought together a fine selection of all things British, including antiques, books, fine china by Royal Crown Derby, charming tea pots and bewitching garden fairies. There's even a section for kids featuring toys, games and, of course, books by Beatrix Potter. Enjoy a traditional afternoon tea (including cucumber sandwiches) at 1pm, 2:30pm and 4pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
