bombest. Probably the best sushi spot in Pasadena. There may be better sushi, but there's no where with the prices and atmosphere of gin. The food is delicious and affordable. The lobster special is the best thing on the menu. They also employ the worlds oldest geisha.

Lobster roll. Best lobster rolls around town. I come here just for that. The rest of the food is good also.

Sushi Lovers. OMG, if your a Sushi lover, you all should head down to Gin Sushi in Pasadena, Calif.. The prices is so affordable you cant go wrong. The seafood are very fresh and good. Unlike other Sushi places in the area, they are very busy no matter what time of the day you go there. It gets really packed for dinner time (lines are out the door).

Who ever reads these logs pls let me know what you think...

MY FAVORIATE SUSHI RESTURANT ANYTIME TWO THUMBS UP!. Just thinking about the suchi there at Gin makes me want to go there now and have dinner. I can honestly say this is the best suchi resturant in town! Big pieces for the buck best deal and always fresh. I recommend Gin suchi to all my friends try the lobster special and you will be hooked or the rolls or the famous yellowtail sushi, sashimi its the best see you soon!

Better than Kabuki and Tokyo Lobby. GOOD FOOD. Great Sushi, really fresh. Hearty portions for your money. Courteous and pleasant service (however when it?s busy service can take a while). I took a friend to try sushi for the first time and he loved it.

Crowded, but good for the price.. The food is not bad, but it's not top notch. There is quite a crowd. Go in small groups because it takes longer to get a table if you go in large groups. Very family friendly place. The fish is really fresh, but they need to work on the rice. There's nothing special about this place, but if you're looking your satisfy your sushi fix, head here. We were able to load up on cut rolls for about 10 dollars a person

Average food, long wait, unstaffed - but its crowded!. I've had better sushi. Wouldn't go back. Given the wait and the poor service, I don't know why so many people were there. We ordered the mixed plate sashimi which was okay. The some of the pieces were smaller and chunky in cut. Certainly not melt in your mouth kind of sushi. The tempura ~ average; the miso soup ~ cold; the hot sake ~ not hot and you can taste the cheapness; the rolls ~ were big but mushy and poorly assembled. The only thing i really enjoyed was the Seaweed Salad. The portion was a generous side and I enjoyed the sesame flavor. The bathroom ~ DISGUSTING!!!! I don't think they clean it ~ totally gross. Altho the waitress was nice, the service was just really poor. It felt disorganized and uncoordinated. We had 3-4 servers and saw each one only once. We asked for our check 3 times, waited 1/2 hour and never got it.. Even tho there was still many ppl waiting, the waitress kept of telling us that they were calculating it and when we got fed up of waiting, we went to the counter to pay and they hadn't even pulled our bill to figure out what was due. Yo'd think with so many people waiting, they'd want to turn tables over fairly quickly. it was cute the way they had polaroids taped all over the walls, i guess those folks are the ones that actually enjoyed it.... U certainly won't see my pic up there ever.

so much to chose from!. I like this place a lot. The menu is huge and they have some things you won't find elsewhere. The price is really great, too. Some might call it cheap. But don't let that worry you about the quality. It's very good. Maybe not the best cut of fish in town but for the price and the options it really is worth it. I usually don't go on weekends as it can fill up pretty fast. I've seen lines before. But for a late dinner on a Tuesday there won't be a crowd so go on off days. I love sushi and live a five minute drive from little Tokyo but I still will drive out to Pasadena to go to Gin Sushi!

Cheap Eats, Bad Service. Their lunch and dinner specials are very affordable, however the service was below par. I don't sit at the sushi bar, so maybe the eye-to-eye contact with the sushi chef could get you better service rather than waiting for your order , a refill or your bill from the forgetful servers. On two separate occassions, they've forgotten to put in our order of yellowtail collar, even after repeating our order to us AND telling us during our 30 minute wait that it was still cooking, only to find out that they had never ordered it. When it's busy the waitresses seem to be overwhelmed and don't have an organized and logical system of which tables they are covering. Arrive early and if it's busy be prepared to wait.

love Gin Sushi!. This place is great! The sushi is fresh and affordable. My boyfriend who was not a sushi fan before, loves it now. We recommend sitting at the sushi bar, the guys who work there are hilarious and makes for an enjoyable evening. Best place to eat your fill of sushi.
